FADA has released the September 2026 two-wheeler retail sales data, showing strong growth in the Indian market. A total of 1,790,188 two-wheelers were sold in September 2026, compared to 1,345,153 units in September 2025. This represents a 33.08% year-on-year growth.
The market also recorded monthly growth, with sales increasing from 1,714,610 units in August 2026 to 1,790,188 units in September 2026. This marks a 4.41% month-on-month growth. In addition, several major manufacturers recorded strong double-digit growth during the month, while electric two-wheeler brands also continued to expand their sales.

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India retained the top position in September 2026 with 468,789 units, compared to 339,537 units in September 2025. The company recorded a 38.07% YoY growth and held a 26.19% market share.
Hero MotoCorp secured the second position with 434,280 units, up from 330,500 units in September 2025. This resulted in a 31.40% YoY growth. However, its market share declined from 24.57% to 24.26%.
TVS Motor Company continued its strong performance, selling 364,640 units in September 2026 compared to 256,042 units last year. The company registered a 42.41% YoY growth, while its market share increased from 19.03% to 20.37%.
Bajaj Auto recorded 166,112 units in September 2026, compared to 144,214 units in September 2025. This represents a 15.18% YoY growth. However, its market share declined from 10.72% to 9.28%.
Royal Enfield recorded strong growth in September, selling 102,226 units compared to 83,494 units last year. This represents a 22.44% YoY increase. However, its market share declined from 6.21% to 5.71%.
Suzuki sold 101,926 units in September 2026, up from 82,443 units during the same period last year. The company posted a 23.63% YoY growth, while its market share fell from 6.13% to 5.69%.
Yamaha sold 64,292 units in September 2026, compared to 49,614 units in September 2025. The company recorded a 29.58% YoY growth, while its market share stood at 3.59%.
Ather Energy continued to post strong growth in the electric two-wheeler market. The company sold 30,533 units in September 2026, compared to 19,620 units last year. This marks a 55.62% YoY growth, while its market share increased from 1.46% to 1.71%.
Ola Electric recorded a decline in sales during September 2026. The company sold 13,451 units, compared to 13,862 units in September 2025. This resulted in a 2.96% YoY decline, with its market share falling from 1.03% to 0.75%.
Greaves Electric Mobility recorded significant growth, selling 9,316 units in September 2026 compared to 4,352 units last year. The company registered a 114.06% YoY growth, while its market share increased from 0.32% to 0.52%.
River Mobility recorded one of the highest growth rates among the listed manufacturers. It sold 5,556 units in September 2026, compared to 1,895 units last year. This represents a 193.19% YoY growth, with market share increasing from 0.14% to 0.31%.
BGauss Auto sold 5,023 units in September 2026, compared to 2,524 units in September 2025. The company registered a 99.01% YoY growth, while its market share increased from 0.19% to 0.28%.
Classic Legends recorded 4,573 units in September 2026, compared to 3,192 units during the same month last year. This resulted in a 43.26% YoY growth, with market share rising from 0.24% to 0.26%.
Piaggio Vehicles sold 3,778 units in September 2026, compared to 2,751 units in September 2025. The company recorded a 37.33% YoY growth, while its market share increased slightly from 0.20% to 0.21%.
Bounce Electric recorded a sharp rise in sales during September 2026. The company sold 3,069 units, compared to 895 units in September 2025. This represents a 242.91% YoY growth, with market share increasing from 0.07% to 0.17%.
E-Sprinto Green Energy sold 1,997 units in September 2026, compared to 957 units last year. The company recorded a 108.67% YoY growth, while its market share increased from 0.07% to 0.11%.
The Others Including EV category recorded 10,627 units in September 2026, compared to 9,261 units last year. This represents a 14.75% YoY growth, although its market share declined from 0.69% to 0.59%.
With most major manufacturers recording double-digit growth, the September 2026 FADA sales data highlights strong demand in India's two-wheeler market. In addition, several electric two-wheeler brands recorded high growth rates, supporting the continued expansion of the EV segment.
