The 125cc two-wheeler space is still ruling the Indian commuter segment as of last month in 2025. As per SIAM data, the five top models have taken most of the demand. Besides, the following motorcycles continue to be favourites among urban commuters in pursuit of comfort, efficiency, & affordability.
Whereas some bikes saw growth in sales, others struggle with year-on-year and month-on-month losses. Following is the closer examination of last month’s top five best-selling 125cc bikes.

Honda Shine has again dominated the best-selling 125cc motorcycle in last month 2025. Honda has sold 1,38,665 units, registering a month-on-month growth of 2.85%. On the other side, Honda sales decreased by 1.36% in July 2024.
In spite of this slight decline, the Shine continues to be the second-highest-selling motorcycle in India overall. Additionally, festive demand could give its sales figures a further push in the months to come.

The Bajaj Pulsar 125, comprising the Pulsar 125, Pulsar N125, and Pulsar NS125, experienced lower sales in last month. Perhaps, Bajaj retailed 41,306 units, showing a 16.79% month-to-month decline from June.
Besides that, year-over-year sales declined by 25.85%. The decline is noteworthy since the Pulsar series typically retails well. Nonetheless, Bajaj is trying to gain back sales through festive discounts at dealerships.

The TVS Raider 125 has been the most sought-after sporty commuter bike in the 125cc segment. TVS retailed 24,511 units in the last month, declining by 10.80% month-on-month.
Conversely, the year-on-year sales remained firm and witnessed only a 0.14% decline. Recently, TVS added two new colours to entice buyers. But Hero Glamour X 125 entry may impact its future sales.

Hero Super Splendor has been a reliable option for individuals who like simple riding and negligible maintenance. Last month, Hero sold 12,488 units, which was a steep 38.87% fall from June.
Moreover, year-over-year sales went up by 18.54%, indicating that demand is consistent compared to the past year. Thus, the bike continues to be popular among conventional consumers.

Hero Xtreme 125R saw a huge decline in performance during the last month, when only 12,287 units were sold. Additionally, month-on-month sales declined by 23.06%, while the year-on-year sales plummeted by 52.44%. Nonetheless, the slide persists even though the latest single-piece seat version was recently introduced.
The absence of improved features in comparison to Hero competitors is impacting its sales and demand. Hero might therefore have to revise the Xtreme 125R to align with market expectations.
