Hero MotoCorp Ride Safe India Campaign: Women’s Night Rally in Gurugram Promotes Road Safety

Hero MotoCorp recently organised a women’s night rally in Gurugram as part of its ongoing Ride Safe India road safety campaign. The event took place in partnership with the Haryana Police and the Raahgiri Foundation. The rally aimed to promote safe riding habits and encourage more women to take part in motorcycling.

The rally was organised just ahead of International Women’s Day, which made the event more meaningful. In addition, the initiative highlighted the importance of safer roads and equal participation for women in public spaces.

150 Women Riders Join the Night Rally

Around 150 women riders participated in the rally and covered a 9 km route across key roads in Gurugram during the late evening. The event helped highlight an important message that roads should feel safe and accessible for everyone.

Senior officials flagged off the rally. These included Arpit Jain, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Rajesh Mohan, Deputy Commissioner of Traffic Police, and Sanjay Bhan, Vice-President, Global Business & Product Planning at Hero MotoCorp. In addition, several women police officers also joined the ride, which further strengthened the message of safety and inclusivity.

Launched in January 2026 during National Road Safety Month, Ride Safe India is a three-month campaign built on the 4Es of road safety-education, engineering, enforcement emergency care-as defined by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. The programme includes training sessions, awareness drives, school activations and citizen-led activities aimed at promoting safe riding.

Women Traffic Officers Honoured for Their Contribution

As part of the initiative, 14 women traffic police officers were honoured for their work in road safety and traffic management. Arpit Jain, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Gurugram Police, said, "Initiatives like the Ride Safe India go far beyond road safety awareness, they send a decisive message that our roads belong to every citizen, at every hour. We are proud to stand alongside Hero MotoCorp in creating a safer, more inclusive public space."

Hero MotoCorp added that the women’s night rally is part of its larger effort to bring women into the centre of the road safety conversation and encourage wider public participation.
