Harley-Davidson Expands Network to 22 Dealerships with New Kochi and Bengaluru Outlets

Harley-Davidson and Hero MotoCorp have expanded their presence in India by opening two new full-line dealerships in Kochi and Bengaluru. With these additions, the premium motorcycle brand now operates 22 full-line dealerships across the country. The move is part of the company’s strategy to strengthen its reach in India’s growing premium motorcycle market.

Each new outlet works as a complete 3S facility, which means customers can access sales, service, and spare parts under one roof. In addition, riders can explore official Harley-Davidson merchandise, riding gear, and branded accessories at these showrooms. The dealerships also follow Harley-Davidson’s latest global showroom design, which aims to give visitors a modern and consistent retail experience.

New H.O.G. Chapters and Community Rides

Both outlets will manage local chapters of the Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.), the brand’s official rider community. Now, the total number of H.O.G. chapters in India has increased to 33. The club plays an important role in bringing riders together through events, long-distance rides, and brand-led experiences.

To celebrate the launch, the companies organised community rides for Harley owners in both cities. Bengaluru already hosted its Inaugural Ride on March 1, 2026, while Kochi will hold a similar event on March 31, 2026.

X440 Lineup Expands Harley’s Reach Among Indian Riders

The bike was a locally designed and produced bike by Hero MotoCorp in collaboration with Harley-Davidson. It features a 440cc single-cylinder engine with a high level of low-end torque and easy cruising capability. This makes the bike suitable when traveling in the city and on the highway.

Moreover, the motorcycle is fitted with modern functionalities e.g. digital instrument cluster, smartphone integration, LED lighting, and dual channel ABS. Another variant that has been introduced by the company is known as Harley-Davidson X440 T. This version is more touring specific and more rider-friendly with better ergonomics and features.

Presently, the X440 is sold in 115 Hero Premia dealer outlets and 22 Harley-Davidson dealerships in India. Such a dual retail network enables the firms to attract entry-level premium customers and customers in search of the complete Harley brand experience.

Partnership Continues to Reshape Harley’s India Strategy

The collaboration between Harley-Davidson and Hero MotoCorp began in 2020 after Harley decided to stop its independent operations in India. Under the agreement, Hero MotoCorp manages distribution of imported Harley motorcycles while also developing new models for the Indian market.

Ravi Avalur, Head of the Harley-Davidson Business Unit at Hero MotoCorp, said the new dealerships reflect "our continued shared commitment to building a strong and engaged rider community." He also noted that cities like Kochi and Bengaluru already have active riding cultures, which perhaps makes them ideal locations for expansion.
