Bajaj Pulsar N125 Engine Performance

The Pulsar N125 runs on a 124.58 single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. This engine delivers 11.83 bhp @ 8500 rpm of power and 11 Nm @ 6000 rpm of torque. Its power delivery is smooth and fast, especially at lower speeds. Moreover, the engine is paired with a 5-speed gearbox for easy gear shifts.

The top-end variant includes an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG). This provides a silent and smooth start. The engine also supports switchable auto start/stop for better fuel efficiency. It’s perfect for city traffic and daily commutes. Moreover, the Bajaj Pulsar N125 top speed is around kmph.

Bajaj Pulsar N125 Mileage

The Bajaj bike offers a fuel efficiency of around 64.75 kmpl. This is good for a 125cc bike and keeps running costs low. Apart from this, the fuel tank holds 9.5 litres of petrol.

This gives the bike a practical range of over 615 kilometres on a full tank. This range is more than enough for long city rides or daily office trips.

Bajaj Pulsar N125 Key Features

The Bajaj Pulsar N125 2025 is packed with useful features. It gets a full LED headlamp for better visibility at night. The top variant also includes Bluetooth connectivity. This helps with call and message alerts when paired with a smartphone.

Additionally, both variants come with digital LCD consoles. The higher variant has a larger screen and displays more information. There’s also a USB charging port to keep your phone powered during rides.

Bajaj Pulsar N125 Specifications

The Pulsar N125 is built on a strong new chassis. The engine also acts as a part of the frame. This keeps the bike stable and reduces vibration. Moreover, it uses telescopic forks in the front and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear.

This setup gives a comfortable ride on bumpy roads. The bike comes with a 240mm front disc and a rear 130mm drum brake. It also has a CBS (combined braking system) for safer stops. Apart from this, the Bajaj Pulsar N125 rides on 17-inch alloy wheels.

The tyres are 100/90 on the base variant and 110/80 on the top variant. The Pulsar N125 kerb weight is 125 kg, which makes it easy to handle. The short wheelbase of 1295mm adds to its quick handling on tight city roads.

Bajaj Pulsar N125 Expert Opinion

“Bajaj Pulsar N125 is a smart choice for city riders. It looks stylish and has enough power to keep daily rides enjoyable. The mileage is impressive, and the features add good value. However, the seat is a little firm, and the suspension could be softer. But overall, it balances fun and practicality really well at an affordable price.”

4.5/5

The 125cc motorcycle market in India has changed a lot in the last few years. Now people want something that feels modern, looks sharp, and can also handle daily traffic without feeling boring. That’s where the new Bajaj Pulsar N125 comes in.

Now, Bajaj already has two other 125cc bikes, the Pulsar 125 and the NS125, but this N125 feels different. It has been built for city life, with a mix of style, performance, and features that make your everyday ride more enjoyable.

Bajaj Pulsar N125 - Overview

We spent a couple of weeks using the Pulsar N125 for our office-to-home runs, weekend errands, and even some highway stretches. And here’s how it felt in real-world use.

5/5

  • The Pulsar N125 catches your eye the moment you see it. It has sharp, sporty lines and feels more modern than the regular commuter bikes you spot on the road.
  • During our rides at traffic signals, people take a second look, especially at the LED headlamp and sleek tail section. It definitely has a presence.
  • The bike feels compact, but Bajaj has added clever touches like tank panels, chunky shrouds, and under-seat panels that give it a bit more muscle.
  • We noticed the plastics felt solid in daily use. Even when parked under the sun or ridden on bumpy stretches, nothing rattled or felt cheap. The finish is tidy for this price bracket.

4/5

  • Getting on the bike is very easy. The 795mm seat height will be fine for most riders, even shorter ones.

Bajaj Pulsar N125 - Seat

  • The seating position feels unusual at first. The handlebars are close, the tank is slim, and you sit on the bike instead of sinking into it.
  • After a few rides, this setup feels natural and easy to manage. The rider’s seat is slightly on the firm side.
  • For 30–40 minutes of city commuting, it feels okay. On longer, hour-plus rides, you might want more cushioning.
  • The pillion seat is surprisingly generous. My co-rider had enough space and stayed comfortable in traffic.
  • The suspension feels tuned towards the sporty side. Small potholes and road joints are managed well. The sharp speed breakers or deeper bumps can send a kick up your spine.

Bajaj Pulsar N125 - Suspension

5/5

  • The Pulsar N125 is fitted with a 124.58cc air-cooled engine that produces 11.83 bhp and 11 Nm torque.

Bajaj Pulsar N125 - Engine

  • In city traffic, we could ride as slow as 30kmph in fifth gear without the engine protesting. This makes commuting effortless because you don’t have to keep shifting gears.
  • Overtaking slow-moving rickshaws or cars didn’t need much planning. Twist the throttle and the bike responds quickly, which is great in bumper-to-bumper conditions.
  • On the highway, the N125 feels most comfortable around 80-85kph. At that speed, the engine feels relaxed. Going above 90 kmph is possible, but you start to feel vibrations.
  • The clutch is very light, and the gearshifts are precise. During one of our rides, we kept switching between fourth and fifth gear in heavy traffic, and it never felt tiring.

Bajaj Pulsar N125 - Ignition Switch

  • What stood out for us was the exhaust note. For a 125cc bike, it has a bassy sound that gives it a character. It makes even short rides more enjoyable.
  • During our test rides, we managed to get around 61-62kmpl in mixed city conditions.
  • You can expect a real-world range of around 550-580km with its 9.5-litre fuel tank. That’s a week’s worth of commuting for most people.

Bajaj Pulsar N125 - Fuel Tank

5/5

  • The Pulsar N125 weighs just 125kg. This lightweight makes it very easy to handle in the city.
  • The slim handlebar helps cut through traffic without stress. In a crowded market stretch, we glided past cars and scooters with ease.

Bajaj Pulsar N125 - Handlebar

  • At higher speeds, the bike feels steady and around 75kph, it stays stable and doesn’t wobble.
  • The MRF tyres offer reliable grip. You can take quick U-turns that feel smooth and controlled. Moreover, even on sweeping corners, the bike stayed balanced and predictable.

Bajaj Pulsar N125 - Tyre

  • The bike also comes with a front disc and rear drum with CBS. The front disc has decent bite and feedback. But if you grab it hard, it can still lock up.

Bajaj Pulsar N125 - Brake

4/5

  • The Pulsar N125 doesn’t skip on the basics. You get an LCD console, USB charging port, LED headlamp, tail lamp, and even an engine start-stop system.

Bajaj Pulsar N125 - Headlight

  • On the Bluetooth variant, you also get call and SMS notifications, which are handy when you don’t want to pull your phone out at every signal.
  • The start-stop feature is especially useful. While waiting at a long red light, the engine quietly shut off and came back to life with just a twist of the throttle. Small touches like this save fuel in the long run.
  • What we did miss was a gear position indicator and ABS. Competitors like the TVS Raider offer them, and they make the bike feel more complete.

Bajaj Pulsar N125 - Tail light

4/5

The Pulsar N125 is a city-friendly bike that’s stylish, easy to handle, and fuel-efficient. The seat feels firm and the suspension could be softer, but these are small trade-offs in the bigger picture.

Bajaj Pulsar N125 - Digital Display

But at a price of around Rs 93,158 (ex-showroom), it’s also more affordable than rivals like the Hero Xtreme 125R and TVS Raider. Also, Bajaj’s wide service reach and affordable spares make the N125 a very practical choice.
