Triumph has increased the prices of most motorcycles in its updated 349cc lineup. The latest revision affects four models, with hikes ranging from Rs. 2,000 to Rs. 5,000.
The change comes just weeks after the brand updated its motorcycles with a smaller 349cc engine. Although buyers initially benefited from lower prices, the latest increase reduces some of that advantage. However, the Scrambler 400 X and Tracker 400 continue without any price changes for now.
The Triumph Speed T4 now costs Rs. 1.99 lakh, up from Rs. 1.95 lakh. The motorcycle receives a price increase of Rs. 4,000. Interestingly, the latest revision makes the Speed T4 costlier than its earlier 399cc version. This development may surprise buyers looking for a budget-friendly Triumph roadster.
In addition, the Speed T4 now produces 28.6bhp and 31Nm from its 349cc engine. These figures are lower than the previous 399cc model.
The Speed 400 receives the smallest increase in the lineup. Its price rises by Rs. 2,000, taking the ex-showroom figure to Rs. 2.34 lakh. Despite the increase, the Triumph motorcycle remains one of the most attractive premium roadsters in the segment. Furthermore, its combination of modern features and classic styling continues to attract buyers.
The adventure-focused Scrambler 400 XC now carries a price tag of Rs. 2.94 lakh. Previously, buyers could purchase it for Rs. 2.89 lakh. Moreover, the model continues to offer rugged styling and touring-friendly capability. These qualities help it stand apart from traditional roadsters.
Perhaps the most stylish motorcycle in the range, the Thruxton 400 also receives a Rs. 5,000 increase. Its new price stands at Rs. 2.70 lakh. The café racer-inspired design remains a major attraction. Meanwhile, its sporty riding position appeals to enthusiasts seeking a distinctive motorcycle.
The recent engine downsizing followed changes under the GST 2.0 structure. Taxes on motorcycles above 350cc increased significantly, while smaller-capacity bikes received tax benefits.
As a result, Triumph and Bajaj shifted the lineup to a 349cc engine. Initially, this move reduced prices by up to Rs. 18,000 on selected models.
However, the latest hike slightly narrows those savings. Even so, most motorcycles in the current range remain more affordable than their earlier 400cc versions.
