A Cafe Racer With A Modern Side

The Thruxton 400 has the classic cafe racer look, but its ride-by-wire throttle brings modern electronic control into the picture. I like the idea of smoother, more measured throttle response when accelerating out of a bend. Traction control adds support if the rear tyre starts to lose grip under acceleration, especially on a slippery patch. These systems work in different ways, but both matter when I want to enjoy the bike’s sporty side while staying aware of how the road surface can change.

I Didn't Realise My Wrist Was So Relaxed!

The ride by wire throttle made the bike feel smooth from the very first twist of the accelerator. The power came in so naturally that I never had to think about controlling it. Later, on an open highway, I let the bike stretch a little and experienced the 155 km/h top speed. It felt steady and comfortable instead of making me nervous. By the end of the ride, I wasn't talking about how fast it went. I was talking about how easy it was to ride.

The Comfort Came as a Surprise!

There's something satisfying about settling into the riding position, and the seat height plays a big part in that. I never feel awkward, even in stop-and-go traffic. Later, when the road opens up, the bike happily builds up to 156 km/h with confidence. I often leave home for a short ride and somehow end up staying out much longer.

An Absolute Blast on the Highway

The Triumph Thruxton 400 is an incredible machine for weekend rides. Its 349 cc liquid-cooled engine is remarkably smooth, giving plenty of mid-range grunt to pass traffic effortlessly. On the open road, pushing it is thrilling, and it easily hits a top speed of 161 kmph without feeling unstable. The cafe racer styling turns heads everywhere, yet the riding posture remains surprisingly manageable for spirited city rides.
