The new KTM RC 160 has been spied testing in India, pointing toward an early 2026 launch. In its latest avatar, the model will directly rival the Yamaha R15 and is expected to become a hot seller among young riders desiring a sporty 160cc motorcycle. The test bike was in almost production form, and the brand appears committed to aggressively developing its portfolio of performance motorcycles between 150cc and 160cc. Furthermore, this supersport will share plenty of components with the recently introduced KTM 160 Duke, further raising the stakes for this shootout.
KTM launched the 160 Duke in September 2025 to further consolidate its lead in the premium 150cc segment. And now, the RC 160 is all set to join the supersport ranks. Spy shots have revealed a Black and Orange combo for the bike. The motorcycle sported USD front forks and black alloy wheels, adding to its aggressive looks. Its trellis frame with a bolt on rear subframe resembles bigger RCs, melding style and structure.
The test mule also shows the rider leaning forward, indicating a sport riding stance with the rear set footpegs and clip on handlebars. Other details include fairing mounted mirrors, sculpted fuel tank, 17 inch alloy wheels, fat tyres, large disc brakes with dual-channel ABS, rear mono shock, split seat, and rear grab rails. Features point towards both performance and style by KTM.
