Kawasaki India to Launch the Vulcan S and Z650RS in 2026

Kawasaki India has officially introduced the 2026 models for the Vulcan S and the Z650RS. These new motorcycles now meet the latest E20 fuel standards to support greener energy goals. However, the update comes with a higher price tag and small changes in engine performance. While the bikes look fresh with new colours, the core mechanical parts remain the same as the older versions. Both models are now available at dealerships across the country. Overall, these updates ensure that the 650cc lineup stays relevant in the changing Indian automotive market.

Key Features and Expectations for the 2026 Models

The 2026 Kawasaki Vulcan S and Z650RS mainly focus on meeting new environmental norms while keeping their classic looks. These motorcycles now use E20 fuel which helps in reducing harmful emissions during your daily rides. Although the prices have increased, the bikes still offer the same familiar handling and braking systems. The new colour options provide a fresh feel for riders who want a modern yet stylish appearance. 

The 2026 Kawasaki Vulcan S Gets a Price Hike

The newest 2026 Vulcan S is now priced at Rs. 8.13 lakh in India. Therefore, it is Rs. 54,000 more expensive than the previous model sold earlier. This cruiser uses a 649cc engine that is now fully E20 compliant. Moreover, the power output is 60.1 bhp while the torque has dropped slightly to 61 Nm. This is a small decrease of 1.4 Nm compared to the older version of the bike.
Kawasaki has also changed the visual appeal of this middleweight cruiser for the new year. The previous green colour is gone and replaced by a Metallic Flat Spark Black shade. Aside from the color and fuel update, the motorcycle stays the same mechanically. It still features a 300 mm front disc and a 220 mm rear disc for braking. Hence, the suspension remains a standard telescopic fork and a monoshock at the back.

The 2026 Kawasaki Z650RS Joins the Lineup

The retro-styled 2026 Kawasaki Z650RS has also arrived with a price of Rs. 7.83 lakh. In addition, this makes the bike Rs. 14,000 more expensive than the 2025 model. It shares the same 649cc parallel twin engine but features a new Metallic Ocean Blue paint. This colour includes golden graphics that give the motorcycle a very elegant and classic look. However, the torque has dropped to 62.1 Nm, which is a loss of 1.9 Nm for the rider.
The engine however continues to give a powerful 67 bhp to make the riding experience enjoyable and vibrant. Besides that, the bike has trellis frame and remains light with an overall weight of 192 kg. Front braking is equipped with 300 mm dual discs and rear braking 220 mm disc. Therefore, the update 2026 will be more concerned with environmental regulations, as opposed to incorporating new hardware capabilities.
