Harley Davidson 350 cc Bike Launching on 10th March

Harley Davidson 350 cc Bike Launching on 10th March

With a new strategy in place, Harley-Davidson is working with regional partners to develop completely new products for the middleweight market. As an example, consider China, where Qianjiang Motors and the American motorcycle company have been collaborating. The first new products to come out of this partnership will be the motorcycles X350 and X500.

The introduction of either one or both of these bikes is expected to launch on March 10, 2023, according to a recent teaser. However, some of the most important details about these bikes have already been revealed online ahead of time.

Harley-Davidson X350 – 350cc Bike

The Harley-Davidson X350 and X500 have a nostalgic retro theme, as evidenced by the round headlamps, rear-view mirrors, and round instrument pods. Apart from that, each of these bikes has a number of distinctive characteristics. With its angular fuel tank, step-up seat design, and enlarged tail section, the X350 is more contemporary overall.

A 353cc engine will power the Harley-Davidson X350's performance. A maximum power output of 35–36 BHP is expected. Previously, it was suggested that the bike would be powered by the parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine that was fitted to the Benelli 302S. However, QJ Motor later modified the 353cc version of this engine.

Additional information included the bike's 195 kg weight. The stated top speed is 89 kmph or roughly 143 kmph. Hardware specifications include

  • Disc brakes on both ends.
  • USD front forks.
  • Mono-shock rear suspension.
  • Alloy wheels.

The higher capacity X500 has also utilised the same arrangement. But, there is a small distinction: the front rotors on the X350 are petal-shaped, while those on the X500 are more conventional.

Harley-Davidson X500 – 500cc Bike

The 500cc motor on the Harley-Davidson X500 will produce 47.5 Bhp and 46 Nm. Bikes like the Benelli TRK 502 ADV, Leoncino 500 scrambler, and 502C cruiser already use this engine. The Harley-Davidson X500 will weigh 207 kg at the kerb, which is a little less than the corresponding Benelli bikes. The top speed of the X500 is listed at 99 kmph or roughly 159 kmph.

IF INTRODUCED IN INDIA, Harley-Davidson X350 and X500 will largely compete with Royal Enfield motorcycles. In addition, Harley-Davidson X350 will face competition from models like the Classic 350, Meteor 350, and Hunter 350 in the 350cc class. Conversely, the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 650 twins will be challenged by the Harley-Davidson X500.

Harley-Davidson X350 & X500 Bikes Launch in India?

It is still unknown whether these new bikes will be introduced in India. In India, Harley-Davidson and Hero MotoCorp have joint ventures. The strategy is to aggressively pursue the Royal Enfield-dominated middleweight market in this area as well.

Hero's cost-effective manufacturing may enable Harley-Davidson to set competitive pricing for its first small-capacity bike for the Indian market. In addition, Harley will gain from Hero's extensive nationwide dealership network. Once released, these new Harleys will compete with Royal Enfield and the future Bajaj Triumph motorcycles.
