Ducati India has confirmed that the road legal Enduro version of the Desmo450 MX will arrive soon. The announcement was made during the recent press test of the newly launched Desmo450 MX. The Desmo450 EDX is aimed at cross country and off road riders, offering small but important updates compared to the motocross version. This launch marks Ducati’s first street legal off road bike in India, providing enthusiasts a longer range & versatile riding experience. The model is expected later this year or in early 2027.

The Desmo450 EDX keeps the engine, chassis, brakes, and electronics from the motocross model. However, it receives an 18 inch rear wheel, replacing the MX’s 19 inch unit, which improves off road performance. The bike is fitted with Pirelli Scorpion XC Mid-Soft tyres for better grip in different terrains. The suspension remains a fully adjustable 49mm Showa fork and rear shock, but both ends receive enduro specific tuning. Softer springs and revised damping on the fork, & updated spring rates on the rear shock, make the ride more suitable for enduro use.

The Enduro version comes with a larger 8.52 litre fuel tank, up from the MX’s 7.1 litre unit. This provides extra range for cross country rides. The added components for street legality and increased fuel capacity make the bike around 5kg heavier than the MX. Apart from these changes, the overall design, frame, & handling remain very similar to the motocross model.
The Desmo450 MX currently starts at Rs. 17.23 Lakh in India. The Enduro focused Desmo450 EDX is expected to cost slightly more due to added features and modifications. Ducati is yet to reveal the exact price, but details will likely be shared closer to the launch.
