2026 Ducati Monster India Launch On The Way: Here's What Buyers Can Expect

The 2026 Ducati Monster India launch is coming closer after the motorcycle's design patent surfaced in India. The filing suggests Ducati is preparing the updated naked bike for the Indian market.

The new Monster gets fresh styling, a new 890cc V2 engine, and updated electronics. Ducati has also confirmed that the Monster V2 is part of its 2026 India launch plan, with an expected arrival before the end of the year.

2026 Ducati Monster India launch: What's New?

The biggest visual change is the return of the Monster's larger fuel tank, bringing back a classic Ducati design element. The Ducati bike also gets a redesigned LED headlamp with a new DRL signature and a larger TFT display.

The older 937cc engine has been replaced by the new engine. It produces 111 hp and 91.1 Nm and is paired with a six speed gearbox and a bi directional quickshifter. Ducati has also extended the valve clearance service interval to 45,000 km. It could help reduce long term maintenance costs for buyers of the Monster, Multistrada V2, and other motorcycles using the new V2 platform.

2026 Ducati Monster: Expected Features

The updated Monster could get these new features:

  • Cornering ABS
  • Traction Control
  • Wheelie Control
  • Engine Brake Control
  • Four riding modes
  • 5 inch TFT display
  • Bi directional quickshifter

These features can improve safety, especially during spirited rides or wet road conditions.

Expected Price and Rivals

The outgoing Ducati Monster was priced at Rs 13.84 lakh (ex showroom). The new model is expected to cost slightly more because of its updated engine and additional features. Ducati has already included the Monster V2 in its 2026 India product roadmap.

In India, the 2026 Ducati Monster is expected to compete with the Triumph Street Triple 765 RS, KTM 990 Duke, BMW F 900 R, and Kawasaki Z900.

Useful Updates

The 2026 Ducati Monster brings meaningful updates instead of a simple cosmetic refresh. Buyers can expect a more powerful engine, lower long term maintenance requirements, improved electronics, and a design that stays closer to the original Monster.

If you are planning to buy a premium naked motorcycle this year, waiting for Ducati's official India launch might be worth it.
