Upcoming Triumph Thruxton 400 Spotted Testing in India

The Thruxton 400, Triumph's third brand-new motorcycle, has been in development for quite some time. This bike may arrive early next year, as seen by recent sightings during testing in Pune. Moreover, it indicates it is approaching the end of its production phase. Here is what the bike looks like after it was spotted testing once more.
 

What to Expect?

The same 399cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine will power the upcoming Triumph Thruxton 400. Similar to the other present Triumph 400cc models in the market. This engine setup generates 39.5 bhp of power and 37.5 Nm of torque. Additionally, it is coupled to a six-speed gearbox. 
 

In addition, we anticipate traction control, dual-channel ABS, LED lighting, a semi-digital instrument panel, and USB charging ports. Moreover, the USD forks of the test bike aren't as golden-finished as those on the Speed 400.
 

The Thruxton 400 is probably going to be built on a similar bolt-on rear subframe and tubular steel frame as the Speed 400. With dual-channel ABS as standard, it will primarily be equipped with a 300mm front and a 230mm rear disc. According to spy shots, it looks like the bike has 17-inch wheels on both ends.
 

Design and Looks

Similar to the legendary Thruxton of the past, the forthcoming 400cc bike will have a cafe-racer style. It comes with a clean fairing that extends from the headlight to the fuel tank. The bike has an aspirational appearance and is a true vintage motorbike despite its outdated design. Additionally, there are bar-end mirrors and clip-on handlebars with a single grab rail and a single scooped seat in the front.
 

The saree guard that is attached to the bike further solidifies its approval for the Indian market. Nevertheless, it won't be shocking if Triumph introduces the same model in the UK and other countries. Triumph is anticipated to place the Thruxton 400 in the middle between the Scrambler 400 and Speed 400. It can cost around Rs. 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
