TVS Motor Company has introduced its 3rd electric scooter in India, the TVS Orbiter, priced at Rs. 99,900. This is the new scooter, which is designed for city use and aims to attract both young riders and family buyers.
It comes with a modern styling, advanced features, and a decent range to offer its buyers. In this situation, Orbiter strengthens TVS’s position in the growing electric scooter market quite quickly. Thus, the scooter comes with unique features to make riding safer and more convenient for daily commuters.
The new TVS Orbiter has been designed to appeal to riders who want a modern and practical electric scooter. The scooter features large LED lights, a neatly designed windscreen, and body panels with a curvy layout.
From the images, it is clear that the brand wants the Orbiter to look stylish while also maintaining a family-friendly appeal. Therefore, the TVS scooter is expected to draw attention in urban markets.
In terms of performance, TVS claims that the Orbiter offers an overall riding range of 158 km on a single charge. Unlike the TVS iQube, which is available in multiple battery options, the Orbiter comes with only one battery pack of 3.1 kWh.
However, the company has not revealed the total charging duration or the availability of fast-charging support. This may perhaps be shared officially in the coming days.
The Orbiter has been equipped with several advanced features to improve daily usage and rider comfort. The scooter includes cruise control, hill hold function, and even reverse parking assist for city convenience.
In addition to that, this model of scooter supports USB charging, over-the-air updates, and smartphone connectivity through a dedicated application. The fully digital instrument cluster adds more value, as it provides detailed riding information and Bluetooth integration.
Bookings for the new Orbiter have already started through online channels across India. Customers have six paint choices, including Neon Sunburst, Stratos Blue, Lunar Grey, Stellar Silver, Cosmic Titanium, and Martian Copper.
Therefore, buyers have multiple options to choose from a style that suits their choices. However, Orbiter will be available in showrooms soon, and deliveries are expected to begin shortly.
The TVS Orbiter will compete against models like the Ather Rizta in the electric scooter market. Following, with a price of Rs. 99,900, a range of 158 km, and a feature-loaded setup, the scooter is expected to attract buyers.
Hence, the following launch strengthens TVS’s growing presence in the EV segment, which already includes the popular iQube range.
