Royal Enfield Unveils Flying Flea C6: Brand’s First Electric Bike

Royal Enfield has officially showcased its first-ever electric motorcycle, the Flying Flea C6, in India. The bike has a retro roadster look with a modern electric touch. Inspired by the World War II Flying Flea, this motorcycle combines vintage charm with new-age technology.

It was first displayed at EICMA 2024 in Milan and later at CES in Las Vegas, where it received positive responses. The bike is expected to launch globally by March 2026 and will first be sold in India, Europe, and the USA. Let’s know more about it.

Classic Design with a Modern Twist

 
The Flying Flea C6 has a round headlamp, slim tank, circular mirrors, and retro-styled indicators. The forged aluminium frame keeps the bike lightweight, while the magnesium battery case helps with cooling.

Moreover, the battery fins represent a mix of tradition and innovation. The girder fork suspension adds a classic touch while improving handling. The single-seat design is inspired by the original Flying Flea, with a pillion seat available as an accessory.

Performance & Features

Royal Enfield has designed this bike for city commuting with a focus on lightweight construction. The battery is placed below the tank and features functional cooling fins. The bike has disc brakes, alloy wheels, and a monoshock suspension. It features a 3.5-inch TFT touchscreen with Bluetooth, Google Maps, music controls, and call alerts.

It also supports over-the-air updates. Other advanced features include dual-channel ABS, lean-sensitive ABS, regen cruise, and traction control. Riders can select from five riding modes: Eco, Rain, Tour, Performance, and Custom. The bike also comes with a wireless phone charger, USB-C port, remote unlock, and walk-up unlock system.

Expected Price & Competition

Royal Enfield will manufacture the Flying Flea C6 at its new EV plant in Tamil Nadu. The expected price is Rs 4.5 lakh (ex-showroom). There are no direct rivals, but it could compete with the Ola Roadster Pro and Ultraviolette F77.

Its classic-inspired design makes it unique among electric bikes. The company will focus on India first, followed by Europe and the USA. The EV market in India is still growing, but Royal Enfield believes this bike will find success worldwide.
