The long-awaited Classic 650 Twin has been delayed to early 2025, the company announced. It is set to arrive instead in 2025 with a 648 cc parallel-twin engine that promises more performance and smoothness over the currently available single-cylinder versions. Further fine-tuning of the motorcycle's design and features will finally allow it to see life in early 2025. The Classic 650 Twin is sure to take on the domination of best-selling middleweights with a combination of retro looks and all-new upgrades.

Royal Enfield is set to launch the Classic 650 Twin in India early next year, although rumours suggested it would debut at Motoverse 2024.
It appears that the company is focusing more on the launch of the Goan Classic 350, which may appeal to a much larger audience. Additionally, 350cc motorcycles typically outperform 650cc models in sales, so it makes sense to postpone the launches.
The 650cc platform is more popular in Europe and the US, where people tend to buy high-performance motorcycles. However, in India, the same does not apply, and sales are led by Royal Enfield's 350cc portfolio since it offers more value for money. The Goan version of the Classic 350 will have tubeless spoke wheels, which is likely to cost the most among all the other variants in the portfolio.
Royal Enfield Classic 650 Twin will probably sit between the Shotgun 650 and the Super Meteor 650. However, the top-of-the-line version of the Classic 650 will be as costly as the base model of the Super Meteor 650.
