New Hero Xtreme 160 R Launch Tomorrow

Hero Motocorp is ready to launch its New Hero Xtreme 160R. Several images of the bike on social media suggest that it will bring some new features. The significant update for the new model is introducing a 4-valve head for the engine. The current version of the Xtreme 160R features a 163 cc engine with a 2-valve configuration, delivering 15.2 PS of power and 14 Nm of torque. The new 4-valve head is expected to provide a slight increase in performance, along with improved refinement levels. 

Features of Hero Xtreme 160R

Additionally, the 2023 Xtreme 160R will come equipped with a USD fork which is a notable improvement over the telescopic fork on the current model. The images revealed gold-finished Units on the motorcycle. The addition of the USD fork suggests that Hero MotoCorp aims to provide a sportier and more engaging ride with enhanced stability and better handling characteristics.

Based on the teasers, the mono-shock suspension and braking equipment appear unchanged from the current model. However, it is worth noting that the teaser reveals that the rear wheel of the 2023 Xtreme 160R does not have an ABS sensor. The motorcycle may not feature a dual-channel ABS system. 

Design and Pricing of Hero Xtreme 160R

The upcoming model will not feature any radical design changes and will primarily come with new paint schemes and livery. Considering all the changes and updates, it is expected that the pricing of the 2023 Xtreme 160R will undergo a slight rise. The estimated price hike of Rs 5,000 to Rs 6,000 is reasonable, especially considering the addition of a 4-valve head and USD fork.

Competition of Hero Xtreme 160R

With the updated Xtreme 160R, Hero MotoCorp will continue to compete against popular models like the Bajaj Pulsar NS160, Pulsar N160, and the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V. These motorcycles are all well-established competitors in the 160cc segment, and the Xtreme 160R will aim to stand out with its unique features and performance characteristics. The final pricing and specifications of the 2023 Hero Xtreme 160R will be confirmed at the time of its official launch.
