Made-in-India Triumph Scrambler 400 & Speed 400 Launched in Malaysia

Triumph Motorcycles has expanded its presence in Malaysia with the launch of the Speed 400 & Scrambler 400. Both motorcycles are manufactured in India and will be exported to several countries, including Malaysia. The company has also announced the price in the country.
 

Triumph Scrambler 400 & Speed 400: Price in Malaysia

The Speed 400 will be priced at RM 26,900 (Rs. 4.78 Lakhs). On the other hand, the Scrambler 400X will be priced at RM 29,900 (Rs. 5.31 Lakhs). These bikes are priced at Rs 2.33 Lakhs & Rs. 2.63 Lakhs, respectively, in the Indian market.
 

Triumph Scrambler 400 & Speed 400: Specs & Features

Both the bikes are powered by the same 398cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, producing 39.5 bhp & 37.5 Nm torque. In addition, their 398CC engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox along with an assist & slipper clutch. The Scrambler 400 X rolls on a 19-17-inch alloy wheel combination, whereas the Speed 400 rolls on the smaller 17-inch rims at both ends. The Scrambler is a more adventure-oriented bike with a longer travel suspension, dual-purpose tyres, higher ground clearance & a taller seat.
 

Speaking of features, both motorcycles come with a full-LED lighting system, a semi-digital console, traction control & dual-channel ABS. However, in the Scrambler, ABS is switchable.
 

Triumph Scrambler 400 & Speed 400: Design

Powered by the same engine, the Speed 400 was launched in India in July, and the Scrambler 400 X was launched in October. However, the design, cycle parts & features of these bikes are different. The Speed 400 is a neo-retro roadster & the Scrambler 400 X is a scrambler. The Scrambler 400 is taller, boasting a more imposing stance. On the other hand, the Speed 400 is compact & minimalistic.
