KTM Can Launch 2025 390 Adventure R & 390 SMC R in India

KTM is targeting the Indian market for its 390 Adventure R and 390 SMC R motorcycles. But there is a catch. They will be launched only if there is sufficient demand. Presently, they are being produced at Bajaj's Chakan facility for export. If Indian motorcyclists express interest, KTM will launch them here.

Here's the twist. These bikes will not be sold in dealerships; instead, they will be shipped straight from KTM's factory. This action will guarantee exclusivity but could involve longer waiting periods. Additionally, both versions are likely to have a high price. 

2025 KTM 390 Enduro R May Launch Next Month

KTM has even more coming for Indian riders. The company will introduce the 390 Enduro R by March or April 2025. It's expected to be priced at around Rs 3.30 lakh (ex-showroom). This motorcycle will be an addition to KTM's off-road family along with the Adventure R and SMC R.

All three motorcycles have the same 399cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. The engine is also employed in the KTM 390 Duke and 390 Adventure. They feature a six-speed transmission and a slip-and-assist clutch. Riders will also get a bi-directional quickshifter for more seamless gear changes.

For off-road riders, the bikes feature switchable rear ABS. This increases safety and handling on off-

road terrain. From the Adventure R, SMC R, or Enduro R, KTM is concentrating on performance and versatility.

What's Next?

KTM will need a few months to get approval and register these bikes. Once done, Indian riders can finally get their hands on these premium bikes. So, if you’re excited, keep an eye out for updates!
