Kawasaki has launched the new KLX230 S in India. This new version comes with a lower seat height, which makes it easier for more riders to use the bike. The company has kept the price the same at Rs. 2.19 lakh (ex-showroom). Because of this, buyers now get a more accessible option without paying extra.
In addition, this update mainly helps shorter riders who often find tall dual-sport bikes difficult to handle. Perhaps this change will attract more people who want a lightweight off-road bike for daily and weekend use.

The biggest change in the KLX230 S is its seat height. It now stands at 830mm, which is 50mm lower than the standard model. Because of this, riders can place their feet on the ground more easily.
However, Kawasaki has reduced the suspension travel to achieve this. The front suspension of this Kawasaki bike now offers 160mm travel, while the rear gets 163mm. In comparison, the standard model has much higher travel. In addition, the ground clearance has also gone down to 220mm, which is 35mm less than before.
Apart from these changes, the bike stays the same in other areas. It uses a 233cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine. This engine produces 18.7 bhp power and 19 Nm torque. In addition, the bike remains light at 139 kg, which makes it easy to handle in city traffic as well as off-road conditions.
The KLX230 S rides on a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheel setup. It uses dual-purpose tyres, which work well on both roads and rough surfaces. Braking duties come from disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS. However, riders can switch off the ABS for better control on loose surfaces.
