Ducati Launches All-New 2025 Panigale V2 in India

Italian bike maker Ducati has introduced the new 2025 version of the Panigale V2 in India. It is priced at an ex-showroom price of Rs 19.12 lakh for the base model and Rs 21.10 lakh for the V2 S variant. Interestingly, this new model is cheaper than the outgoing version, which had started at about Rs 20.98 lakh.

In addition, Ducati says it has taken a major shift in philosophy: rather than just chasing maximum power, the focus is now on a lighter, more usable and friendly supersport machine. Let’s know more about what this updated model offers:

Engine Change and Lighter Weight

The big change under the hood is the new 890 cc 90-degree V-twin engine. This unit produces 120 bhp at 10,750 rpm and 93.3 Nm of torque at 8,250 rpm. While this is roughly 30 bhp less than the outgoing 955 cc “Superquadro” engine (which made around 150 bhp), Ducati explains that the goal was to make the bike easier to ride, especially on the road.

Moreover, the new Panigale V2 comes in two weights: the base model weighs 179 kg (dry) and the V2 S just 175 kg. These are notably lighter than the previous version, helping to offset the dip in peak power.

Packs Serious Electronics and Premium Hardware

The 2025 Panigale V2 is loaded with modern features. There’s a six-axis IMU that manages electronics including cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, engine brake control and a bi-directional quickshifter. On top of that, there are four riding modes: Race, Sport, Road and Wet. Both variants get a 5-inch TFT display.

Furthermore, the base model uses a fully adjustable Marzocchi fork up front and a Kayaba monoshock at the rear. The V2 S goes up a notch with full-blown Öhlins suspension at both ends. The bike also features Brembo M50 monobloc calipers, and the tyres are Pirelli Diablo Rosso 4s.

What Does The Lower Price Mean?

It’s quite surprising to see a newer, upgraded version being priced lower than the outgoing model. However, this reflects Ducati’s strategy: they appear to be shifting from pure peak power figures to a more balanced machine that is easier to live with daily, yet still thrilling.

Also, a lower starting price could make this model more accessible to enthusiasts who might have been daunted by earlier “track-focused” superbikes. Perhaps Ducati expects that the lighter weight and improved usability will count more for real-world riding than sheer horsepower.
