Kawasaki has introduced the 2026 version of the Versys-X 300 in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs 3.49 lakh, which is the same as the post-GST 2.0 price of the outgoing generation. Though mechanically it stays the same as the 2025 model, the Kawasaki bike gets some small cosmetic tweaks and a simpler colour lineup. Let’s know more about this bike in detail:
The bike now comes only in Candy Lime Green / Metallic Flat Spark Black, with refreshed graphics and the new “Versys-X” sticker on the fuel tank. The previous colour option of Metallic Ocean Blue / Pearl Robotic White has been dropped.
The tall windscreen, tail rack, black engine, and silver exhaust are the same, but small design changes make the bike look a bit fresher. In addition, the large proportions of the bike, the adventure-style stance and the luggage-ready rack all stay intact.
The bike retains a 296 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine producing 40 PS at 11,500 rpm and 26 Nm at 10,000 rpm. It also features a 6-speed gearbox with assist & slipper clutch. The familiar backbone frame continues, which makes this a strong performer in its class.
The Versys-X 300 features a 41 mm telescopic front fork with 130 mm travel and a gas-charged link-type monoshock with 148 mm travel at the rear. The bike rides on a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoked wheel setup with dual-purpose tubed tyres. Moreover, the seat height is 815 mm, ground clearance is 180 mm and kerb weight stands at about 175 kg. The fuel tank capacity remains 17 litres.
The motorcycle sticks to a semi-digital instrument cluster: an analogue tachometer paired with an LCD for speed, gear-position, fuel level, etc. The lighting remains halogen rather than full LED. You also get optional genuine Kawasaki accessories like panniers, hand guards, fog lamps and a centre stand, which are useful additions for longer tours and customisation.
