The two wheeler market has seen several important updates over the past two weeks, with new launches, fresh colour options, and updated models grabbing attention. Simple Energy has introduced the Wave electric scooter with multiple battery options and a claimed range of up to 243 km. Royal Enfield has also launched the Himalayan 440 with a new engine and adventure focused setup. Meanwhile, Kawasaki has updated its 2027 lineup with new colours for the Z650 S and Z900, while the Ninja 500 has arrived in India with a new Lime Green shade. Here is a quick look at all the key two wheeler updates.

Simple Energy Wave Launched at Rs. 1.09 Lakh With 243 Km Range

Simple Energy has launched the Wave electric scooter in India at Rs. 1.09 lakh, with four battery options ranging from 2.2 kWh to 5 kWh. The top spec battery offers an IDC range of up to 243 km, while the scooter gets a top speed of 90 kmph.

In addition, the Simple Wave offers a 70 litre boot space, 7 inch TFT display, turn by turn navigation, traction control, theft alerts and four riding modes. It is available in six colours and also gets a dedicated pill storage feature.

Royal Enfield Himalayan 440 Launched at Rs. 2.29 Lakh

Royal Enfield has launched the Himalayan 440 in India at Rs. 2.29 lakh, powered by a 443cc single cylinder engine that produces 25.4 bhp and 34 Nm. It gets a six-speed gearbox, 21/17-inch spoke wheels and three colour options.

The new adventure bike also offers 200 mm front and 180 mm rear suspension travel, 220 mm ground clearance and switchable dual channel ABS. In addition, the Himalayan 440 gets a semi digital instrument cluster with the Royal Enfield Tripper Navigator for turn by turn navigation.

Kawasaki Updates 2027 Lineup With New Colours Across Three Models 

Kawasaki Ninja 500 Launched in India With New Lime Green Colour

Kawasaki has launched the 2027 Ninja 500 in India at Rs. 5.76 lakh (ex showroom) with a new Lime Green colour scheme featuring white and blue graphics. The price and mechanical setup remain unchanged.

The Ninja 500 motorcycle continues with its 451cc parallel twin engine producing 44.77bhp and 42.6Nm, paired with a six speed gearbox and assist and slipper clutch. In addition, it retains the same design and features, making the new colour the key update for the 2027 model year.

Kawasaki Z900 Gets Three New Colours

Kawasaki has revealed 3 new colours for the 2027 Z900 in global markets, while keeping its mechanical setup unchanged. The motorcycle continues with its 948cc inline four engine producing 122bhp and 98.6Nm, along with a bi directional quickshifter.

In addition, the Z900 retains features such as cruise control, selectable power modes and three level traction control. Kawasaki has also introduced new colours for the Z900 SE, which continues with Brembo brakes and an Öhlins rear shock. However, the company has not yet announced the 2027 Z900 or Z900 SE for India.

Kawasaki Z650 S Gets Three New Colour Options

Kawasaki has unveiled the 2027 Z650 S in overseas markets with three new colours, while keeping its 649cc parallel twin engine and mechanical setup unchanged. The Kawasaki bike also features a more upright riding position, a redesigned seat, and traction control.

In addition, the Z650 S gets a 4.3 inch TFT display, Bluetooth connectivity, Rideology app support, and an optional bi directional quickshifter. However, Kawasaki does not currently sell the Z650 S in India, where buyers can get the standard Z650.
