Simple Energy Ultra is a new premium EV scooter launched on 17 April, 2026. This flagship scooter offers sporty styling, segment leading 6.5 kWh battery pack, and an impressive claimed 400 km IDC range. Moreover, the scooter shares its sharp and futuristic design with the Simple One Gen 2. 

Riders also get premium features like traction control, regenerative braking, navigation, smartphone connectivity, and multiple riding modes. Furthermore, the spacious storage of 35 litres, comfortable ergonomics, and powerful electric motor make it suitable for daily commuting and longer rides. 

Simple Energy Ultra Price in India

The price of Simple Ultra in India starts at Rs. 2.35 Lakh (ex-showroom). The scooter is available in a single variant called Ultra Standard. The Ultra costs around Rs. 45,000 more than the Simple One Gen 2 5kWh variant. This difference mainly comes from the larger 6.5kWh battery pack. 

The competitors of Simple Ultra include the Ather 450 Apex, Ola S1 Pro Plus, and Ultraviolette Tesseract. However, the Simple Energy Ultra stands out because of its claimed range figure.

Simple Energy Ultra Battery Performance

The electric motor on the Simple Energy EV is similar to the Simple One 5kWh. The motor has a power of 8.8kW and torque of 72 Nm. The scooty is the fastest in the class with its highest speed of 115. Moreover, it is capable of reaching a speed of 40 kmph from 0 in under 2.77 seconds. 

The 6.5kWh battery pack is the best feature of the Ultra. There are 5 different modes: Eco, Ride, Air, Sonic, Eco X and Sonic X. As a result, bike riders can create a balance between performance and battery efficiency that suits their needs.

Simple Energy Ultra Range

The scooter has a claimed IDC riding range of 400km. This range makes the Ultra one of the longest range electric scooters available today. Charging anxiety is a problem for many city rider on longer rides. The Ultra alleviates this worry, however. 

Riders are able to ride further without needing to make frequent stops for charging. The riders can charge the scooter at home or at supported charge stations. With a fast charger, the Ultra EV from Simple charges up from 0 to 80% in approximately two hours and 15 minutes. Besides, it can take between 7 and 8 hours to fully charge the home charger (750W).

All-LED Lighting

The scooter receives all-LED lighting for better visibility and premium appearance. Moreover, the LED setup improves nighttime riding safety.

7-Inch TFT Touchscreen Display

The Ultra gets a large 7-inch TFT touchscreen instrument console. This display runs on an Android-based operating system. Furthermore, the screen supports smartphone connectivity and navigation.

Riders can access phone alerts, music controls, and ride analytics directly on the display. The scooter also supports OTA updates for software improvements.

Live Location and Geofencing

Simple Energy included live location tracking and geofencing features as well. Therefore, riders receive better vehicle monitoring and security.

The scooter also offers cruise control for relaxed highway riding. Moreover, park assist and crawl mode improve low-speed maneuvering.

Hill-Hold Assist and Fall Detection

The scooter also includes hill-hold assist and fall detection systems. Hazard lights automatically activate during sudden braking situations.

Simple Energy added TPMS for real-time tyre pressure monitoring. Riders can also use limp-home mode during emergency situations.

Large Storage Space

The Simple Energy Ultra underseat storage offers a large 35-litre capacity. Riders also receive a one-litre glove box on the apron.

Simple Energy Ultra Specifications

The new Electric scooter shares most of its platform with the Simple One Gen 2. The scooter uses disc brakes at both ends. The front gets a 200mm disc brake, while the rear receives a 190mm disc brake. 

Simple Ultra's seat height is 780mm and the ground clearance is 172mm for rough Indian roads. The scooty comes with 12-inch alloy wheels with a wheelbase of 1347mm. Also, the Simple Energy Ultra kerb weight is around 139 kg.
