
Simple Energy has launched its new Wave electric scooter in India at a starting price of Rs. 1,09,999. The Bengaluru-based EV brand has introduced the electric scooter with four battery options, allowing buyers to choose a version based on their range requirements.
The Simple Energy Wave offers an IDC-certified range of up to 243 km on a full charge. It also gets a top speed of 90 kmph, a massive 70-litre boot space, a 920 mm long seat, and several smart and safety features.
The new Simple Energy electric scooter is available with four battery pack options. The claimed range varies depending on the battery capacity, with the 5 kWh battery offering the highest IDC-certified range of 243 km.

The Simple Energy Wave comes with several features focused on comfort, convenience, and connectivity. One of its major highlights is the massive 70-litre boot space, which provides plenty of room for carrying everyday items.
The electric scooter gets either a 7-inch TFT display or an Infinite Black Display, depending on the variant. It also comes with turn-by-turn navigation, call and music controls, and message alerts.
The Wave also gets smart functions such as Find My Scooter and Ping My Scooter. The Ping My Scooter function flashes the scooter's lights and produces a sound, helping riders locate their scooter in crowded parking areas.
Another interesting feature of the Simple Energy Wave is its dedicated pill storage. The brand says this is a first-of-its-kind feature, adding another storage option for everyday use.
The Wave electric scooter also gets several safety features. These include GripSense, traction control, and theft alerts.
It also gets Super Hold, which works similar to a hill-hold assist feature. This can help prevent the scooter from rolling backwards when starting on an incline.
The Simple Energy Wave comes equipped with the brand's patented Hushdrive Transmission System. This technology has been developed to make the riding experience as quiet as possible by reducing transmission-related noise.
The new electric scooter comes with four riding modes. These modes allow riders to select different riding characteristics according to their requirements.
The Sport mode is aimed at riders looking for a more responsive riding experience, while the Eco modes are designed for more efficiency-focused riding.
