Kawasaki has launched the 2027 Versys 1100 in India at a starting price of Rs 13.89 lakh (ex-showroom). The new model continues with the same engine and main mechanical setup as before. However, Kawasaki has updated its India line-up with the new model while also offering discounts on several other bikes.
The Kawasaki Versys 1100 keeps its familiar adventure tourer design. It gets a tall adjustable windscreen that helps reduce wind hitting the rider during long rides. In addition, the bike features full fairings and a sharp front design with split LED headlights.
The bike also comes with wide handlebars and an upright riding position. This setup should make it easier for riders to stay comfortable during long-distance rides. Moreover, the long and sculpted seat adds to its touring-focused design.
For 2027, Kawasaki offers the Versys 1100 in a single Metallic Matte Graphene Steel Gray/Metallic Diablo Black colour option.
The new Versys 1100 continues with the same 1,099cc, liquid-cooled, inline four-cylinder engine. It produces 135 PS of maximum power and 112 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes with a 6-speed gearbox.
As a result, the Kawasaki bike should offer strong performance for both highway riding and long-distance touring. However, Kawasaki has not made any major changes to the engine for the 2027 model year.
This adventure tourer bike uses an aluminium twin-tube frame, with the engine working as a stressed part of the chassis. For suspension, it gets a 43 mm adjustable inverted fork at the front and a remotely adjustable monoshock at the rear.
The front suspension offers 150 mm of wheel travel, while the rear gets 152 mm. In addition, the bike uses twin 310 mm front discs with four-piston radial monobloc callipers. At the rear, it gets a 260 mm disc with a single-piston calliper.
The bike rides on a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel setup, which suits its adventure touring purpose.
The Kawasaki Versys 1100 gets a semi-digital instrument console with an analogue tachometer and an LCD display. The LCD shows information such as speed, trip details, fuel level, and other riding data.
In addition, the bike gets electronic cruise control, multiple power modes, and Kawasaki Cornering Management Function. It also gets a handlebar-mounted USB Type-C port.
For safety, Kawasaki offers dual-channel cornering ABS and traction control.
Along with the new Versys 1100, Kawasaki is offering discounts on several non-E20 compliant motorcycles in India until September 30, 2026. The company aims to clear older stock with these offers.
The Ninja ZX-10R gets benefits of up to Rs 2.89 lakh, while the KLX230 RS gets a discount of up to Rs 1.50 lakh. In addition, the Ninja 300 gets benefits of up to Rs 28,000.
Other Kawasaki models, including the Ninja 500, Ninja 650, Z650 and Z650RS, also get discounts or other benefits during this period.
