KTM has revealed the 2026 890 Adventure R Rally as its most focused off-road middleweight motorcycle yet. This version takes inspiration from Dakar racing machines and pushes closer to competition-level performance.

Only 700 units will be produced globally, which makes it a rare offering. In addition, production will begin in Austria from March 2026. Deliveries are expected to start soon after, depending on the market.

The motorcycle also features bold Red Bull-inspired graphics, which enhance its rally identity. However, the real strength lies in its hardware and engineering upgrades.

Powerful Engine with Strong Torque & Advanced Electronics

The bike is a parallel-twin, 889cc engine that produces approximately 104 to 106 bhp. It is also rated to generate 100 Nm of pull that provides superior pull in varied terrain settings.

This engine is matched with a 6-speed gearbox, which has Quickshifter+ to make the changes easier. Besides that, KTM also offers various electronic assistance designed to enhance control and safety.

Bikers receive Rally Mode, traction control, cruise control and motor slip control. These features allow taking long rides and working hard trail ups and downs.

There’s also a 5-inch TFT display with a navigation display and connectivity service. Thus, riders are able to trace the routes and keep in touch when they are on an adventure.

Suspension & Chassis Designed for Extreme Terrain

One of the highlight is the WP XPLOR PRO suspension set-up. It uses a rear shock and Cone Valve fork.

It has a high travel of 270mm on both ends, higher than most adventure motorcycles. Due to this, the bike rides over rugged areas and leaps at with more confidence.

The motorcycle is made of light weight of steel trellis frame that enhances the strength and balance. Moreover, the engine is a stressed member in order to decrease the total weight. The bike remains firm over rough grounds with an 21 inch front wheel and 18 inch rear wheels. Its off-road riding is further enhanced by the ground clearance of more than 300mm.

Premium Components & Limited Edition Appeal

KTM has equipped the Rally with several premium parts for better performance. These include an Akrapovic exhaust, rally seat and Factory Racing footpegs.

In addition, carbon fibre guards and a Supersprox rear sprocket add durability and strength. These parts improve both function and visual appeal.

However, the limited production makes it more exclusive and expensive than the standard version. It is priced at around Rs 24 lakh globally.
