2026 Kawasaki Z900 Launched in India: What’s New and What’s the Same

The 2026 Kawasaki Z900 has officially arrived in India, priced at Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This time, the updates are subtle but meaningful for riders. The bike carries forward most of the strong features and performance from last year’s model, along with a few fresh touches that make it even more appealing.

Price and Value Offer

Perhaps the biggest talking point is the price. The new Z900 costs Rs 9.99 lakh, which is about Rs 19,000 cheaper than the 2025 version. This move makes it one of the most affordable four-cylinder naked bikes in India under the Rs 10 lakh mark. Kawasaki’s decision to reduce the price is a smart step, as it helps the bike stay competitive in a growing middleweight streetfighter segment.

Engine Performance & Specifications

The Z900 continues to use the same 948 cc inline-four liquid-cooled engine. The 2026 model now produces slightly higher figures around 123.6 bhp and 98.6 Nm of torque. The kerb weight has also gone down by 1 kg, now standing at 212 kg.

These small upgrades may not sound dramatic, but they make the Z900 feel a little quicker and more responsive. The engine still delivers brisk acceleration and smooth power across the rev range.

The Z900 still rides on a strong steel trellis frame that offers excellent balance and control. The bike also has a 41 mm inverted front forks and a horizontal back-link monoshock at the rear. It has dual front discs and a single rear disc, both supported by dual-channel ABS.

The combination of these components ensures that the bike remains stable and confident in both city traffic and twisty roads. The wide handlebars and aggressive stance also provide comfort and control.

New Colour Options

Visually, the 2026 Z900 keeps its muscular and aggressive design but gets two fresh colour options to add more excitement. The available colours are:

• Candy Lime Green / Metallic Carbon Gray
• Metallic Matte Graphene Steel Gray / Metallic Flat Spark Black

The green colour, a fan favourite, makes a return this year, while the dark grey combination gives the bike a more premium and stealthy look.

In addition to its striking looks, the Z900 continues to offer an impressive list of modern features and electronics. These include:
