Kawasaki has launched the 2026 Ninja ZX-10R in India at Rs 19.49 lakh (ex-showroom). This makes it Rs 99,000 costlier than the 2025 model. Interestingly, despite the higher price, the new model has a slight drop in performance.
The launch is timely, as the company still lists the 2025 version on its website, possibly to clear stocks. Buyers now have two options in the supersport segment. Let’s know more about this bike in simple english.

The 2025 Ninja ZX-10R was priced at Rs 18.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The new 2026 version costs Rs 19.49 lakh. That is a direct jump of Rs 99,000. Kawasaki India is still showcasing the older bike on its official website. This seems like a strategy to push buyers toward the 2025 version.
Customers can save money while enjoying slightly better power and torque. To make it even more attractive, the 2025 bike is being offered with discounts up to Rs 1.50 lakh until September 30, 2025, or until stocks last.
The biggest talking point is the drop in performance. The 2025 ZX-10R produced 213 hp with RAM air and 114.9 Nm torque. In comparison, the 2026 version now produces 205 hp with RAM air and 112 Nm torque.
That is a fall of about 8 hp and 2.9 Nm. Without RAM air, the usable power is about 193 hp. Kawasaki has not revealed the reason for this decrease in figures. However, the engine continues to be the same 998cc, inline-four, liquid-cooled unit mated to a six-speed gearbox.
The bike continues with Showa BFF front forks and a BFRC rear monoshock. It also has dual 330 mm discs at the front and a single 220 mm disc at the rear. Rider aids include cruise control, traction control, launch control, quick shifter, cornering management, ABS, and engine brake control. It also features a TFT console with smartphone connectivity.
The design remains aerodynamic with integrated winglets. The bike is available in two colours, including Kawasaki KRT Green and Grey with Green accents. Apart from this, this bike includes a 17-litre fuel tank, 835 mm seat height, 135 mm ground clearance, and 207 kg kerb weight.
