Bi-Weekly Two-Wheeler News: 2026 KLX 230, Norton Atlas & More

The Indian two-wheeler market stayed busy last week with several important launches and updates. From new commuter bikes to dual-sport motorcycles and scooters, many brands introduced fresh models and new variants. In addition, a premium motorcycle brand also shared its India launch plans. Here is a quick look at the biggest bike and scooter updates from the past week.

2026 Kawasaki KLX 230 Launched With New S Variant

Kawasaki India launched the 2026 KLX 230 at an ex-showroom price of Rs. 2.19 lakh. The latest model costs Rs. 35,000 more than the previous version. However, the motorcycle continues with the same design, engine, and two colour options.

Lower Seat Version Joins the Line-Up

Along with the standard model, Kawasaki also introduced the KLX 230 S variant. This version offers a lower seat height, making it easier for shorter riders to handle. However, the lower seat also brings reduced suspension travel and lower ground clearance.

2026 Aprilia Tuono 457 Special Edition Arrives

Aprilia also launched the 2026 Tuono 457 Special Edition at Rs. 3.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The motorcycle now comes in two fresh colours, Mamba Black and Puma Grey, inspired by the 2006 Tuono 1000R.

Better Comfort With New Updates

Apart from the new paint schemes, Aprilia added a smoked flyscreen, a taller handlebar, an adjustable front brake lever, a revised seat, and updated suspension. As a result, riders can expect a more comfortable riding experience without changing the engine setup.

Hero Passion+ Disc Gets New Features

Hero MotoCorp expanded the Passion+ range by launching the new Passion+ Disc at Rs. 84,128 (ex-showroom). The biggest update is the addition of a front disc brake, which improves braking performance.

Fresh Design and Digital Console

In addition, Hero refreshed the styling with new graphics and four dual-tone colour options. The commuter bike also receives a fully digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity, giving buyers more modern features.

TVS Ntorq 125 Receives Fresh Colours

TVS updated the Ntorq 125 Race Edition with three new colours: Drift Blue, Inferno Red, and Rush Green. These variants carry an ex-showroom price of Rs. 87,950.

Meanwhile, the Ntorq 125 Disc variant also gets two new shades, Midnight Black and Spiti White, along with updated graphics. However, TVS has not made any mechanical changes to either version.

Norton Atlas India Launch Expected Later This Year

Norton is preparing to launch the Atlas and Atlas GT in India later this year, perhaps around the festive season. The company plans to manufacture the motorcycles in India, which could help keep pricing competitive.

However, Norton will continue to position the Atlas as a premium motorcycle. Even so, buyers can expect both models to offer modern features and strong equipment levels when they arrive in the Indian market.
