Motorcycle lovers saw a mix of exciting new launches and one major update from Hero MotoCorp last week. While Honda introduced two new models in the 125cc segment, Hero updated its HF Deluxe lineup with a new variant.
TVS also launched a Marvel-themed edition of its popular scooter. Alongside all these launches, Hero silently discontinued the base variant of its Karizma XMR. Thus, there is a complete summary of all major two-wheeler updates from the week.
This week’s bike updates brought fresh options for buyers looking for modern features in entry-level and sporty segments. Honda added two new models to its lineup, while Hero gave the HF Deluxe a feature boost.
TVS continued its superhero-inspired series with a new scooter variant. In contrast, Hero quietly pulled out the base model of the Karizma XMR from showrooms and its website. The shift shows how brands are reacting to demand and changing market trends.
Honda has launched the CB125 Hornet, entering the sporty 125cc category for the first time in India. The bike comes with features like muscular design, split seats, and premium hardware. It also includes a 4.2-inch TFT display that supports the Honda "RoadSync" application for better connectivity.
Other features include USB charging, LED lighting, and single-channel ABS. This launch marks a shift for Honda from its usual commuter bikes to something sportier for young riders.
Another launch from Honda was the Shine 100 DX, which sits above the existing Shine 100 model. The DX version gets cosmetic upgrades like bold tank graphics, chrome accents, and a new LCD cluster.
The fuel tank is wider, and the headlight unit has chrome inserts, giving it a more premium feel. Honda will begin bookings from 1 August, and deliveries will take place in stages.
Hero has added a new Pro variant to its HF Deluxe series, priced at Rs. 73,550 (ex-showroom). The bike has received some design upgrades, such as sharp graphics, chrome parts, and an LED headlamp.
The main highlight is the new digital speedometer, known as the Horizon Console. It displays speed, fuel levels, and other important ride information clearly. This update brings a modern touch to one of Hero’s most popular commuter bikes.
TVS launched a new version of its Ntorq 125 scooter called the Super Soldier Edition. The design is inspired by Marvel’s Captain America and is part of the brand’s Super Squad series.
It features camo graphics and design cues that match the superhero’s costume. Priced at Rs. 98,117 (ex-showroom Delhi), this model is aimed at younger buyers, especially fans of Marvel characters.
Hero MotoCorp has discontinued the base variant of the Karizma XMR without much announcement. The model has been removed from the company’s official website, and dealerships have stopped getting its stock.
The motorcycle is now only available in Top and Combat variants, priced at Rs. 1,99,750 and Rs. 2,01,500 respectively. The reason for this move is likely low demand for the base variant.
