Pune, 06 October 2026- Triumph Motorcycles has launched the new Bonneville T40, T40 Black and T4 in India. The new motorcycles bring classic Bonneville styling with a modern 350cc engine and updated features. The Bonneville T40 and T40 Black cost Rs. 2.79 lakh, while the Bonneville T4 costs Rs. 2.54 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Triumph Bonneville T40, T40 Black and T4: Design

Triumph Bonneville T40

All three motorcycles carry the familiar Bonneville look with a teardrop fuel tank, LED headlight, spoked wheels and twin rear shocks. In addition, Triumph adds two-tone paint schemes and hand-painted coach lining to the T40 and T4.

The T40 Black gets a darker theme with Matt Pewter Grey and Matt Phantom Black finishes. Meanwhile, the T40 comes with three colour options, while the T4 gets Phantom Black, Carnival Red and Competition Green.

The new Bonneville models use a 350cc TR Series liquid cooled single cylinder engine that produces 29 PS at 7,000 rpm and 31 Nm at 5,500 rpm. Triumph has tuned the engine for stronger low-end torque and smooth throttle response.

The Triumph Bonneville T40, T40 Black and T4 use an 18 inch front wheel and 17 inch rear wheel. These wheels combine lightweight aluminium rims with traditional steel spokes. In addition, this setup helps keep the handling easy and agile while matching the motorcycle's classic appearance.

Moreover, the T40 and T40 Black get five riding modes, cruise control, cornering ABS, and cornering traction control. The T4 gets three riding modes and dual channel ABS. The T40 gets a twin-piston front brake caliper with a one-piece-style front disc for braking performance. In addition, braided brake lines help provide a precise feel at the lever. The motorcycle also features Optimised Cornering ABS, which considers the bike’s lean angle while braking to offer added control during corners.

Modern Features on the T40

The T40 and T40 Black feature a new 4 inch circular TFT display with smartphone connectivity. Riders can access navigation, music controls and phone functions through the display.

The T4 gets a colour LCD with turn by turn navigation. In addition, the T40 and T40 Black get a USB C charging socket and self-cancelling indicators.

The T40 gets full map navigation as standard through the new Triumph Navigation App. Its TFT display shows the complete route along with speed limit information, while riders can also access favourite destinations, points of interest and recent searches directly from the screen. Moreover, the app allows riders to plan routes before starting their journey, add waypoints and manage route details. Routes can also be saved, imported through GPX files and shared with other riders, with navigation information displayed directly on the motorcycle’s TFT screen.

The motorcycles have a 790mm seat height and a ready-to-ride weight of 195 kg, while the optional low seat can reduce the seat height to 770mm. The upright riding position and compact dimensions should make the Bonneville T40 approachable for different riders.

Steve Sargent, Chief Product Officer, Triumph Motorcycles, said,“The Bonneville is one of the most significant motorcycles in Triumph's history, so introducing a new model carrying that name comes with a responsibility to get it right. From the outset, our ambition was not simply to create a smaller Bonneville, but to create a motorcycle that delivers the style, character and ownership experience riders expect from a genuine Bonneville. Bringing that experience to more riders is strategically important for Triumph, particularly as lower-capacity motorcycle categories continue to grow around the world."

“Working closely with Bajaj, we challenged ourselves to retain the details and qualities that make a Bonneville special, from the proportions and finish to traditional touches such as hand-painted coach lining, while also introducing a level of technology and rider-focused innovation not previously seen in this category. The result is a motorcycle that stays true to the values that have defined the Bonneville for generations while opening the experience to even more riders.”

Bookings will open online from 7 October 2026 at 4:30 PM. T40 deliveries will begin from the second week of November 2026, while T4 deliveries will start in January 2027.
