Scooter Sales Report Feb 2026 India: Strong Growth Led by Activa, EVs Gain Momentum

India’s scooter market recorded impressive growth in February 2026, reflecting rising demand across segments. Total sales of the top 10 scooters reached 6,51,243 units. This marks a strong 42.22% year-on-year increase compared to February 2025.

In addition, most models posted double-digit growth, showing a positive trend in both petrol and electric categories. Perhaps this growth also highlights improving consumer confidence and better product choices in the market.

Honda Activa Leads the Segment with Dominant Market Share

Top 10 Scooters Sales Report February 2026

Honda Activa continued its strong hold on the market with 2,54,449 units sold. It registered a healthy 46.23% growth compared to last year. Moreover, it alone contributed over 39% of the total scooter sales. This clearly shows its unmatched popularity among Indian buyers.

TVS Jupiter secured the second position with 1,27,089 units and 22.70% growth. It maintained steady demand in the family scooter segment. Meanwhile, Suzuki Access 125 stood third with 70,137 units, growing by 18.80%. It continues to perform consistently due to its reliability and comfort.

Electric Scooters See Rising Demand Across India

Electric scooters showed strong growth in February 2026. TVS iQube recorded 38,054 units with an impressive 61.38% growth. Similarly, Bajaj Chetak sold 28,004 units, growing by 31.85%.

This trend indicates increasing acceptance of electric mobility. In addition, better charging infrastructure and more choices have supported this shift. However, traditional scooters still dominate overall volumes.

Strong Growth Across Mid-Segment Scooters

The mid-segment scooters also delivered solid performance. TVS Ntorq 125 registered 31,955 units with 52.22% growth. It remains popular among younger buyers due to its sporty appeal.

Honda Dio posted 28,227 units and grew by 76.11%. It recorded one of the highest gains in the list. Meanwhile, Hero Destini 125 emerged as a standout performer. It sold 27,369 units and grew sharply by 89.47%.

Yamaha RayZR 125 also showed strong momentum with 22,593 units and 61.26% growth. These numbers suggest increasing competition in the segment.

Suzuki Burgman Street Records Highest Growth

The Suzuki Burgman Street registered the highest growth among the top 10 scooters. It sold 23,366 units in February 2026, up by 112.84%. This means its sales more than doubled compared to last year.

This sharp rise reflects growing interest in maxi-style scooters in India. In addition, buyers now prefer more comfort and premium styling in their daily rides.

OEM Performance: Honda Dominates While TVS Follows Strongly

In terms of manufacturer performance, Honda led the market with over 43% share. This was mainly driven by strong sales of Activa and Dio. TVS Motor Company held the second position with more than 30% share. Its balanced lineup of Jupiter, Ntorq, and iQube supported this growth.

Suzuki ranked third with around 14% share, due to Access and Burgman. Meanwhile, Hero MotoCorp and Yamaha Motor Company posted strong growth despite lower volumes. Overall, the February 2026 data shows not only strong volume growth but also a shift in buyer preference.
