Planning to bring home a Royal Enfield Hunter 350? The first thing you should check is the on road price, not just the showroom tag. In Delhi, the base variant costs Rs.1.50 lakh in October 2026, while the top variant goes up to Rs.1.87 lakh. RTO charges and insurance add around Rs.12,800 to Rs.15,500 to the ex showroom price.
Royal Enfield’s cheapest bike starts at Rs.1.38 lakh and goes up to Rs.1.71 lakh (ex showroom), but nobody rides home at those numbers. Here is what you really pay, what you get, and how rivals compare.
The brand has sold more than five lakh Hunter 350 units since 2022. It remains the brand’s cheapest model. Buyers keep asking one question: what is the final bill? In April 2026, the bike gained three new colours: Tarmac Black, Mumbai Yellow and Moonshot White. It now comes in four variants and ten shades. The brand is also riding a sales wave. It sold 1,14,945 motorcycles in India in August 2026, up 12.54% year on year.

Ex showroom prices don’t tell the whole story. The Delhi breakup adds RTO and insurance, and the total climbs fast. Here’s a quick look at the variant wise on road prices of the Hunter 350:
| Variant | Ex showroom | RTO | Insurance | On road |
| Base | Rs. 1,37,640 | Rs. 5,506 | Rs. 7,296 | Rs. 1,50,442 |
| Base Premium | Rs. 1,51,025 | Rs. 6,041 | Rs. 7,849 | Rs. 1,64,915 |
| Mid | Rs. 1,66,372 | Rs. 6,655 | Rs. 8,483 | Rs. 1,81,510 |
| Top | Rs. 1,71,077 | Rs. 6,843 | Rs. 8,677 | Rs. 1,86,597 |
RTO and insurance together add about 9% to the ex showroom price. On the Standard variant, that means Rs.5,506 in RTO and Rs.7,296 in insurance.
Here is the extra you pay over the ex showroom price:
RTO charges also change by state. Delhi’s figures will not match those of Mumbai, Bengaluru or Lucknow. Insurance depends on the plan you pick. So ask your dealer for a written on road quote before paying any booking amount.
The Mid and Top trims are just Rs.5,087 apart on road. Both bring alloy wheels, LED indicators and Tripper navigation. So the extra money mostly gives you colour choices. Unless London Red wins you over, keep the cash. Honestly, Mid looks like the smarter buy for most people.

Most buyers in India choose a finance option. On the base variant, the EMI of the Royal Enfield bike starts at Rs. 2,904 a month. That assumes a Rs.13,764 down payment, an 8% interest rate and a five year tenure. The loan amount comes to Rs.1,36,678.
Here is the catch. Five years is a long time. Over 60 months, you pay Rs.37,562 in interest. Add the down payment, and the bike costs about Rs.1.88 lakh in total. A shorter tenure or a bigger down payment trims that bill.
Following these steps may reduce the bill:

The Hunter 350 has a single cylinder engine that runs on air and oil cooling. This engine gives out 20.2 bhp and 27 Nm of torque. It comes with a five speed gearbox and a slip Assist clutch.
These features make the Hunter 350 good for rides in the city. The torque helps the bike move smoothly through traffic and pull away from stop signs. The clutch lever is lighter which means effort when shifting gears often. It also has enough performance for occasional highway trips, although it is better suited to relaxed riding than high speed runs.
| Spec | Hunter 350 |
| Engine | 349cc, single cylinder, air oil cooled |
| Max Power | 20.2 bhp at 6,100 rpm |
| Max Torque | 27 Nm at 4,000 rpm |
| Gearbox | Five speed |
| Kerb weight | 181 kg |
| Fuel tank | 13 litres |
| Wheelbase | 1,370 mm |
| Top speed | 130 kmph |
Weight is one of the key selling points. At 181 kg it is light for a 350cc bike. The 790 mm seat height helps shorter riders reach the ground. Many owners say it feels easy to handle at signals and in lanes.
Think about your ride. The Hunter is 14 kg lighter than the Classic 350. You will notice it when you push it out of a parking spot. The wheelbase is 1,370 mm so U turns on narrow roads need less room. Owners also praise the light clutch in stop and go traffic.
Running costs matter too. ARAI certifies 36.2 kmpl. The city mileage ranges around 30 kmpl, and highway figures are near 38 kmpl. With a 13 litre tank, you can expect about 390 km per tank in city traffic. The claimed range is 471 km.
A quick look at Key features:
Honestly, the ABS split matters more than paint. Dual channel ABS is worth the step up if you ride in the rain. Do not skip that check at the showroom.
The tyres are tubeless, with 110/70 17 up front and 140/70 17 at the rear. The brakes are a 300 mm front disc and a 270 mm rear disc. Riders have praised the tyres for their grip on dry roads, but extra caution is advisable on wet surfaces.

Here is how the Hunter 350 stacks up against three rivals, using ex showroom prices.
| Bike | Ex showroom price | Engine | Mileage | Weight |
| Royal Enfield Hunter 350 | Rs. 1.38–1.71 lakh | 349cc | 36.2 kmpl | 181 kg |
| TVS Ronin | Rs. 1.30–1.64 lakh | 225.9cc | 42.5 kmpl | 160 kg |
| Honda CB350RS | Rs. 1.98–2.00 lakh | 348.36cc | 35.0 kmpl | 180 kg |
| Yamaha XSR 155 | Rs. 1.50–1.63 lakh | 155cc | 45.5 kmpl | 137 kg |
The Ronin undercuts the Hunter by about Rs.8,000 at the entry level and returns better mileage on paper. The CB350RS costs about Rs.60,000 more but matches the Hunter in engine size and weight. The XSR 155 trades engine size for lower weight and higher claimed mileage.
The Hunter’s edge is its 350cc torque and light frame. Its weakness is mileage compared with smaller rivals. The Honda H’ness CB350 lists at Rs. 1.93 lakh to Rs. 1.98 lakh and the Jawa 42 also chases these buyers.
On road calculations tell a similar story. The Honda H’ness CB350 is priced at Rs. 2.10 lakh in Delhi and the Honda CB350 near Rs. 2.15 lakh. Against those, the Hunter’s Rs. 1.50 lakh to Rs. 1.87 lakh range could result in good savings.

So, is it worth it? That depends on how you ride. Use this quick checklist.

The Hunter 350 remains Royal Enfield’s most affordable motorcycle, but the ex-showroom price is only part of the total cost. Registration and insurance push the on road price higher. Budget Rs.1.50 lakh to Rs.1.87 lakh on road in Delhi, and more if you add accessories. Finance it, and the cost climbs further. Get a written quote, compare it with the Ronin and CB350RS, and take a test ride before you book. Prices and offers change often, so confirm every figure with your dealer.
