Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 Price Update: Revised Rates Announced

Published at January 9, 2026 | By BikeJunction

Royal Enfield has revised prices of the Continental GT 650 in India, making the cafe racer slightly costlier. The update applies to all colour variants, with the highest increase reaching up to Rs 3,781. This change comes after recent GST related updates across Royal Enfield’s motorcycle range. However, the company has not made any design or mechanical updates along with this revision. Therefore, buyers will pay more while getting the same motorcycle experience as before.

What Has Changed With The Latest Price Update

Prices of the Continental GT 650 have increased depending on the selected colour and trim option. The base version now starts at Rs 3,53,105, ex-showroom Chennai, after the latest revision. Meanwhile, the top spec Mr Clean variant is now priced at Rs 3,81,885, ex-showroom Chennai. Moreover, this is the first price hike for the model after the recent GST linked adjustments. Hence, the update appears to be part of a wider pricing exercise across the brand’s portfolio.

Mechanically, the Continental GT 650 remains unchanged despite the recent price adjustment. It continues to use the 648cc parallel twin, air and oil cooled engine setup. The motor produces 47 PS of power and 52 Nm of torque, paired with a six speed gearbox. In addition, a slipper clutch remains standard, helping smoother downshifts during riding. The café racer keeps its clip-on handlebars and committed riding posture as before.

Market Position & Impact On Buyers

Royal Enfield has also increased the price of its other offerings, such as the Bullet 350, lately. Thus, this revision of the Continental GT 650 price is a part of the overall modification of its product range. This increase is also not significant, and it may not affect the interest of buyers. It is still one of the most affordable double cylinder bikes present in the market of India. Thus, the buyers will not revise their choice for this offering of Royal Enfield.
