Increase in Honda Activa & Activa 125 — Up to Rs. 1,177

A recent price hike of upto Rs. 1177 visible in Honda Activa and Activa 125 models.

Honda has increased the prices of Activa and Activa 125 Scooters. Activa has dominated the Indian market and is a favourable scooter brand among commuters. The price of Activa saw a hike of Rs. 811, while the price of Activa 125 increased by Rs 1,177. Apart from the price hike, no other changes occur in Honda.

The New Price Details of Activa

Here, we can see in the above table that Activa Models saw a price hike of Rs. 811. Except for Activa 125 H-Smart, all the other Activa 125 Models underwent a price hike of Rs. 1177. 

Honda Activa and Honda Activa 125 - Powerful Engines

Honda comes in two different engine capacities in India. The 109cc engine is an Activa, and a bigger 124cc engine is called the Activa 125. Honda has recently removed the 6G tag from its Activa.

Activa range offers decent power output for their engine sizes with 7.73 bhp of peak output and a peak torque of 8.90 Nm. The CVT transmission provides power to the rear wheel. Conversely, Activa 125 produces an 8.19 bhp peak power and a peak torque of 10.9 Nm. These both models have options for both drum and front disc brakes.

What’s the Reason for the Honda Price Hike?

Due to implementation of new emission norms, many vehicles in India have undergone price hikes, including the Activa range from Honda. This is because manufacturers have to change the engine and exhaust systems to comply with the new norms, resulting in increased production costs and, ultimately, higher consumer prices. 

The hike is higher as compared to its competitors. Jupiter and Jupiter 125 are direct competitors of Honda Activa in the Indian market.
