Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has achieved a major milestone in North India. The company crossed 10 million cumulative two-wheeler sales in the region on 27 May 2026. This achievement highlights Honda’s strong connection with daily riders across several northern states.
The company covers markets including Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Chandigarh, and Ladakh. In addition, North India contributed nearly 15% of HMSI’s total sales during FY26.
The brand has continued to grow because many customers trust its commuter-focused Honda scooters & bikes. Perhaps this steady demand helped the company maintain strong sales momentum throughout the financial year.
Honda remained highly active in the 110cc scooter category across North India. Many city riders prefer these scooters because they offer easy handling and reliable mileage. Moreover, customers also choose them for smooth performance during daily office travel.
The company has built a strong reputation in urban and semi-urban areas. As traffic continues increasing in major cities, lightweight scooters remain practical for many families.
Honda also improved customer accessibility through its wide dealer and service network. Currently, HMSI operates more than 1,000 customer touchpoints across North India. Because of this large network, customers can access service support more easily.
Honda believes North India remains one of the country’s most important two-wheeler markets. The company expects customer expectations to change as mobility needs continue evolving.
"Reaching the 10 million milestone in North India reflects how deeply two-wheelers are embedded in everyday mobility across the region, particularly beyond the large urban centres," said Mutsuo Usui, Director Sales & Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India.
"Our focus has been on building consistent access and reliability over time, and we see this continuing as customer expectations evolve." However, Honda’s latest achievement also reflects the growing importance of affordable mobility in India.
