Honda has finally brought its sporty spirit to the 125cc category with the new CB125 Hornet. Launched to challenge the likes of TVS Raider 125 and Hero Xtreme 125R, this bike blends aggressive design with smart features and strong performance.
The key highlights include first-in-class golden USD forks, a 4.2‑inch TFT screen with RoadSync, and a punchy 11hp engine. Its bookings open from August 1, and prices are due soon. Let's explore what makes the CB125 Hornet a strong contender in India's growing sporty 125cc segment.
The CB125 Hornet sports a sharp streetfighter look with an angular LED headlamp and bold bodywork. It sits on golden upside-down front forks and a 5-step adjustable mono-shock at the rear. The split-seat setup and tank-mounted ignition key add to its modern appeal, while 17-inch alloy wheels and wide tubeless tires bring practicality and style
This mini-Hornet bike will feature a 123.94cc air-cooled engine, shared with the SP 125 and Shine 125, tuned for 11hp at 7,500 rpm and 11.2 Nm at 6,000 rpm. Honda claims a 0–60 km/h sprint in just 5.4 seconds, which makes it the quickest in class. Moreover, its 124 kg kerb weight helps with sharp handling and city agility.
The bike has a 4.2‑inch TFT display with Bluetooth and Honda RoadSync app support. Riders get turn-by-turn navigation, music, and call/SMS alerts, all controlled via handlebar switches. It also includes USB-C charging, engine kill switch, side-stand engine cutoff, and full LED lighting.
The motorcycle features a 240mm petal disc in front and a 130mm drum at the rear, paired with single-channel ABS for stronger braking. Furthermore, the larger front disc improves heat dissipation and braking stability.
The upcoming Honda CB125 Hornet will be available in four colours: Pearl Siren Blue variants, Pearl Igneous Black, and dual-tone combos. The Hornet matches alloy colours to its paint job. Honda has clearly aimed directly at the sporty 125cc riders, taking on TVS Raider 125, Hero Xtreme 125R, and Bajaj Pulsar N125.
