Hero MotoCorp has launched the new top-end variant of the Xtreme 160R 4V, priced at Rs 1,34,100 (ex-showroom). On the company website, this variant is listed as the “Xtreme 160R 4V Cruise Control.” It sits at the top of the lineup and brings several fresh features, which make it the most advanced version of the 160R range. Here is a simple breakdown of everything you need to know.

The new variant gets a ride-by-wire throttle, which makes the throttle smoother and more responsive. In addition, Hero now offers cruise control, something never seen before on any 160cc bike in India. You also get three riding modes: Rain, Road and Sport, which change how the throttle reacts in different conditions.
The bike now has a colour LCD console, giving the dashboard a clearer and more premium look. This console is similar to the one seen on larger Hero bikes and helps riders access information more easily.
The headlight design has been updated and is inspired by the more powerful Xtreme 250R. It looks sharper and more aggressive than the one on the standard 160R 4V.
Perhaps the most eye-catching update is the new paint scheme. The Combat Edition-style colours use shades of grey with bright accents, giving the bike a sporty and tough stance. Apart from Matt Shadow Grey, the new variant also comes in Kevlar Brown, Matt Slate Black and Neo Shooting Star.
The bike continues to use the same 163.2cc air-and-oil-cooled engine, which produces 16.9PS and 14.6Nm. It still comes with a 5-speed gearbox. The suspension setup also stays the same, with KYB upside-down forks at the front and a monoshock at the back.
Moreover, the bike still comes with a 276mm front disc and a rear disc, supported by dual-channel ABS. So, while the new variant feels more advanced in features, it still keeps the familiar 160R performance and handling.
