Electric scooters are becoming popular among families in India. Two names that often come up are the TVS iQube 5.3kWh and the Ather Rizta Z. Both aim to offer comfort, everyday convenience, and modern technology. To help you choose the right one, we compare their features in simple and easy words.
The Ather Rizta Z comes with a 3.7kWh battery that offers a claimed range of up to 160km. It also produces strong acceleration and reaches a top speed of around 80km per hour.
The TVS iQube 5.3kWh uses a larger battery. Because of this, it can offer a longer riding range of 212 Km/charge in many real-life situations. It also reaches a slightly higher top speed. As a result, families who travel more every day may appreciate the extra range of the iQube.
Both scooters come with a 7-inch TFT screen that shows speed, range, battery level, and other basic details. They also support Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, call and message alerts, and USB charging.
However, the Ather Rizta Z offers more advanced features. It has full Google Maps navigation, traction control to prevent wheel slip, an Emergency Stop Signal for safer braking, and a Fall Safe function that switches off the motor if the scooter tips over.
In addition, the Magic Twist feature gives stronger regenerative braking when you twist the throttle backward. The Rizta also has larger storage. You get 34 litres under the seat, which is more than the 32 litres on the iQube.
The TVS iQube still has useful everyday features. It includes reverse mode, voice assist through the phone app, tyre pressure monitoring, and two riding modes. It may not have as many extras as the Rizta, but it covers all the important basics that a family would need.
The iQube 5.3kWh comes at a lower price of Rs 1.62 Lakh (ex-showroom). The Ather Rizta Z stack pro costs more at Rs 1.74 lakh. Because of this, the iQube suits buyers who want a reliable electric scooter without paying a higher amount. Meanwhile, the Rizta Z suits families who do not mind paying extra for more safety features, better navigation, and larger storage.
