2026 Hero Xtreme 125R Gets TFT Display and TPMS

Hero MotoCorp is preparing an updated version of the Xtreme 125R for the Indian market. The new model could get a TFT instrument cluster and tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), adding more technology to the sporty 125cc motorcycle. These updates could help the bike compete better with rivals such as the TVS Raider 125, Bajaj Pulsar 125 and Honda CB125 Hornet.

The Xtreme 125R already offers several useful features, including LED lighting, ride modes, dual-channel ABS and a monoshock suspension. However, the addition of a TFT screen and TPMS could make the top variant more attractive to buyers looking for extra technology in this segment.

Hero Xtreme 125R to Get New TFT Display

Hero currently offers the Xtreme 125R with a 4.2-inch colour LCD display. However, images of the updated motorcycle have now surfaced, showing a new TFT instrument cluster. This suggests that Hero could introduce the new display with the upcoming update.

The TFT screen could offer a clearer interface and support more information than the current unit. In addition, Hero may update the switchgear to help riders control the extra functions. The new TFT screen could initially remain limited to the top-spec variant, which may also bring a higher price.

TPMS Could Be a Segment First

The biggest highlight of the update could be the tyre pressure monitoring system. TPMS can help riders keep track of tyre pressure and alert them when the pressure drops.

This feature could give the Xtreme 125R an advantage over several rivals. In addition, the bike already offers features such as ride-by-wire, cruise control and dual-channel ABS. Perhaps the combination of these features with a TFT display and TPMS will make the Xtreme 125R one of the most feature-rich motorcycles in the 125cc class.

Engine and Hardware to Remain Unchanged

Despite the new features, Hero is expected to keep the current mechanical setup. The Hero bike uses a 125cc single-cylinder engine that produces 11.4 bhp at 8,250 rpm and 10.5 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The engine works with a five-speed gearbox.

The bike will also continue with telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock. Moreover, it gets a wide 120-section rear tyre, full LED lighting, and dual-channel ABS. Therefore, buyers can expect the updated version to retain its existing riding characteristics.

Expected Price and Launch

The current Hero Xtreme 125R price ranges from Rs. 91,500 to Rs. 1.08 lakh (ex-showroom). Hero could introduce the new TFT-equipped version as a new top-spec variant at a higher price.

However, the company has not yet confirmed the launch date or final specifications of the updated model. If Hero adds all the expected features, the new Xtreme 125R could become an even stronger rival to the TVS Raider 125, Honda CB125 Hornet, and upcoming next gen Bajaj Pulsar 125.
