Hero has launched the new Passion Plus Disc Brake variant in India. The company has priced this model at Rs 84,128 (ex-showroom). This makes it Rs 3,800 more expensive than the standard drum brake version. However, the new variant brings better safety and some useful feature updates.

In addition, this launch gives buyers another option if they want more control and improved braking. The update focuses on both safety and style, which perhaps makes it a better choice for daily riders.

Improved Braking with Front Disc

The biggest change in this new variant is the addition of a 240mm front disc brake. This upgrade improves stopping power and gives the rider better confidence while riding. Moreover, it helps in handling sudden braking situations more safely.

However, the rear brake setup remains the same. Still, the front disc makes a noticeable difference in overall braking performance.

New Colours and Fresh Look

Hero has also introduced four new colour options with this variant. These include Industrial Dark Grey, Heavy Grey Metallic, Pearl Red, and Metallic Nexus Blue.

New Features Added

Hero has also updated the features in this variant. It now gets a fully digital instrument console. In addition, it supports Bluetooth connectivity, which shows call and SMS alerts. This makes daily rides more convenient for users.

However, the overall design and basic layout of the Passion Plus remain familiar and simple.

Engine and Performance Remain the Same

Mechanically, this Hero bike stays unchanged. It continues with the same 97cc engine. This engine produces 8.02PS of power and 8.05Nm of torque. It also comes paired with a 4-speed gearbox.

Is It Worth It?

There is a clear price difference between the disc and drum variants. However, the added safety of the disc brake and the new features make this variant a better option. In addition, the new colours further improve its appeal.
