In July 2025, the industry clocked in a total sales volume of 1,355,504 units, whereas in July 2024, the industry saw sales of 1,449,487 units. This resulted in a 6.48% degrowth in YoY growth. Moreover, a 6.28% decline in MoM sales is observed, as sales figures in June 2025 were 1,446,387 units.

Honda remained the top-selling two-wheeler manufacturer in July 2025 with total retail sales of 345,802 units. This marks a slight decline of 6.53% from 3,69,980 units in July 2024. The company's market share also declined by 0.05%.
Hero MotoCorp secured second place with 339,548 units sold in July 2025. This is a 15.13% decline from 400,093 units sold in July 2024. This translates to a market share drop of 9.25%.
TVS registered a strong performance with 269,677 units sold in July 2025, compared to 252,045 units last year. This represents a YoY growth of 7% and an increase in market share of 14.41%.
BajajAuto sold 138,381 units in July 2025, down from 1,61,936 units in July 2024. Its market share dropped to 8.62%, signalling a dip in competitiveness or product demand compared to the previous year.
Suzuki recorded 88,003 unit sales in July 2025, showing a solid increase of 9.58% from 80,309 units in July 2024. This growth also translated into a market share increase of 17.18%.
Royal Enfield sold 67,561 motorcycles in July 2025, improving on 58,685 units in July 2024. As a result, the sales increased by 15.12% and the market share increased to 23.11%, highlighting strong demand in the mid-size premium segment.
Yamaha sold 50,762 units in July 2025 compared to 54,822 in July 2024. Its market share dropped slightly by 0.99%, indicating a small contraction in its customer base or channel movement.
Ola Electric saw a significant drop in sales from 41,802 units in July 2024 to 17,852 units in July 2025. Consequently, its sales declined by 57.29%, reflecting weakened demand or strategic adjustments.
Ather Energy posted a strong performance with 16,251 units sold in July 2025, up from 10,218 units last year. Its sales jumped to 59.04%, making it one of the standout performers in the EV segment.
With 4,199 units sold in July 2025 compared to 3,159 units in July 2024, Greaves Electric experienced an increase of 32.92%. Its market share also increased by 42.14%.
Piaggio recorded a drop in retail sales, moving from 3,079 units in July 2024 to 2,527 units in July 2025. Its market share reduced to 12.24%, showing a slight decline in presence.
Classic Legends sold 2,237 units in July 2025, compared to 2,206 units in July 2024. This shows an increase in sales by 1.41%.
PUR Energy experienced significant growth of 332.82%, selling 1,688 units in July 2025 versus just 390 units in July 2024. As a result, the company’s market share jumped to 362.83%, indicating rapid scale-up.
Bgauss maintained its position with 1,595 units sold in July 2025 compared to 1,793 units last year. Its sales decreased by 11.04%.
River Mobility saw a massive leap in sales from 222 units in July 2024 to 1,518 units in July 2025. This translates to a sales increase of 583.78% and a market share by 631.19%, positioning it as a rapidly emerging EV player.
The “Others Including EV” segment posted 7,903 unit sales in July 2025, down from 8,748 units in July 2024. Its market share declined slightly to 3.40%.
