Bajaj Pulsar 150 2019-2026 Expert Opinion

“The Pulsar 150 2019-2026 is still a great pick if you want a solid, everyday bike that’s affordable. It may not have all the latest tech, but it gets the job done well. It rides nicely in the city, looks sporty, and has that classic Pulsar feel. If you’re someone who wants a dependable bike without spending too much, this one still makes a lot of sense.”

4/5

Bajaj Pulsar 150 2019-2026 has been in the market for a long time. It remains one of the most popular 150cc bikes in India today. The updated BS6-compliant version helps it stay relevant in the current market. Bajaj hasn’t changed too much, keeping what people already like about the bike.

Bajaj Pulsar 150 - Overview

The overall design is still familiar, with the classic Pulsar styling everyone recognises. Small updates like new graphics and rim tapes give it a fresh, modern look. These updates are subtle and don’t go overboard with design changes.

It suits students, young professionals, and daily commuters looking for a little extra power. You get good performance without having to move up to the 160cc or 200cc segment. Let’s know more about what we got from our ride review.

4/5

  • The Pulsar 150 still carries the same iconic shape, but that’s not a bad thing. It looks muscular with its large tank, sharp tank shrouds, and sporty tail section.
  • Bajaj has added fresh graphics and colour schemes that make the bike look more current, even though the base design hasn’t changed much over the years.

Bajaj Pulsar 150 - Exhaust

  • The finish and paint quality feel pretty premium for the price. Even small touches like the carbon-fibre-style detailing around the instrument console give it a sporty feel.
  • You also get body-coloured rim tapes on the wheels, which add a nice pop when you're riding through the city.

Bajaj Pulsar 150 - Brake

4.5/5

  • The 149.5cc air-cooled engine puts out around 13.81bhp and 13.25 Nm of torque. It feels lively when you twist the throttle.
  • In the city, the bike feels quick off the line. The strong mid-range helps with overtakes, especially in traffic.
  • It can cruise at 70-80kmph on highways fairly comfortably, though it does feel like it’s working a bit harder after 85kmph.

Bajaj Pulsar 150 - Engine

  • During one of our short rides on a windy highway, we noticed that strong crosswinds can make it feel a little nervous. So while it's okay for short highway runs, city rides are where it really shines.
  • You’ll feel a few vibrations at higher speeds, but nothing too uncomfortable unless you're cruising for long stretches.
  • It has a large 15-litre fuel tank, which is great if you're using it for daily commutes.

Bajaj Pulsar 150 - Fuel Tank

  • Real-world mileage is around 45 kmpl, depending on how you ride, which is decent for a 150cc bike.
  • Spare parts are affordable, and service costs are low. That’s one of the reasons this bike is such a favourite with budget-focused riders.

4/5

  • The Pulsar has always had a slightly stiffer ride setup, which helps with handling but can feel firm over bad roads.
  • It corners decently for a commuter. We took it through a few tight turns in the city, and it handled predictably without feeling wobbly.
  • In traffic, the bike feels light and agile. It's easy to change direction and filter through cars, especially on the single-disc variant.

Bajaj Pulsar 150 - Seat

  • The seating position is upright with slightly rear-set footpegs. Taller riders may find the seat a bit soft and not the most supportive on long rides.

Bajaj Pulsar 150 - Footpegs

  • The front disc on both variants offers good bite and feedback. It feels confident, even in stop-and-go traffic.
  • The twin-disc variant feels a bit sharper under braking and is better suited for a slightly sportier feel.
  • While the Eurogrip tyres are decent for daily riding, they aren’t the grippiest if you’re planning aggressive cornering or braking. They're chosen more for efficiency than grip.

Bajaj Pulsar 150 - Tyre

4/5

  • The semi-digital instrument console is easy to read and shows basic info like speed, fuel level, trip meters, and an analogue tachometer.
  • The switchgear is backlit, which is a nice touch for night riding. It feels durable and easy to use.
  • You still get a halogen headlamp with twin pilot lamps. It does the job in the city but feels outdated compared to LED units.

Bajaj Pulsar 150 - Headlight

  • The rear tail lamp is LED, which stands out well in traffic.

Bajaj Pulsar 150 - Tail light

5/5

The Bajaj Pulsar 150 might not be the most exciting or feature-loaded bike in the 150cc segment today, but it still delivers where it matters. It’s affordable, well-built, and offers just the right mix of style and usability. If you appreciate a bike that’s been tried, tested, and improved over time, the Pulsar 150 delivers. It feels like a sensible and dependable choice for everyday riding.

My Favorite Ride for Town and Highway!

This bike has been perfect for my everyday travel and weekend trips with friends. The 149.5 cc engine has a lot of punch. It makes it very easy to zip ahead of traffic in the city, and the bike stays very smooth even when I am carrying a heavy bag or a friend on the back. On the open highway, I easily touch a 110 kmph top speed. The bike feels heavy and holds the road nicely at high speeds without shaking.

    Evergreen Performer

I bought the Bajaj Pulsar 150 for its strong 149.5cc engine and sporty looks. It gives good performance on highways and stable rides with a pillion. Mileage of 45–50 km/l is fair. The design is classic but now feels dated compared to newer bikes.

    Everyday Reliable City Bike

The Bajaj Pulsar 150 has been a reliable partner for city rides. Its front disc and rear disc brakes perform well in traffic. The five-speed gearbox shifts easily, giving a balanced ride. The bike’s tubeless tyres grip well on wet roads. I like how it blends decent performance with a classic Pulsar feel.
