Yamaha Updates XSR 900 for 2025: New Features Unveiled

Yamaha has updated its mid-size, modern-classic roadster, the XSR 900, for 2025 overseas. Indian enthusiasts may have to wait longer for this modern classic roadster. Because the updated XSR 900 is unlikely to launch in India, and the MT-09 might arrive. Let’s know about this upcoming Yamaha bike in detail:
 

What Are the New Features of 2025 Yamaha XSR 900?

The Yamaha bike now features a larger five-inch TFT screen with smartphone connectivity. This new screen replaces the older 3.5-inch display and enhances the user experience.
 

The 2025 model also meets the latest Euro5+ emission norms with updated engine internals. Additionally, Yamaha has introduced two customisable riding modes alongside the existing Sport, Street, and Rain modes. These features aim to improve ride control and adaptability.
 

Yamaha added the Back Slip Regulator to enhance safety during aggressive downshifts. This system works with a slipper clutch to reduce rear wheel lockups. Furthermore, the suspension has been improved with a fully adjustable KYB monoshock at the rear, paired with a revised linkage for better handling.
 

Power and Design Remain Unchanged

The 2025 XSR 900 retains the same 890cc, liquid-cooled, three-cylinder unit. It now produces 117.3bhp at 10,000rpm and 93Nm of torque at 7,000rpm. Kerb weight has remained unchanged at 193kg, and seat height has also stayed within reason at 810mm. This XSR 900 model is mated with 17-inch spin-forged wheels to ensure a more agile performance. There's also Brembo's radially mounted callipers in the front and a floating calliper in the rear.
