Yamaha R3 & MT 03 Scheduled to Finally Launch Tomorrow

Yamaha has been creating a lot of hype around its upcoming R3 & MT-03 for quite some time now. However, all this waiting has now almost come to an end, with both models being scheduled to launch tomorrow!
 

The OGs would know that it is not the first time that Yamaha R3 will be hitting Indian roads. It used to be on sale, but due to updated emission norms, it was pulled from the market. However, the MT-03 will be the model by Yamaha that will launch in India for the first time ever. 
 

Both the Yamaha bikes boast the same underpinnings, including - 

• Same Engine - 321 cc, liquid-cooled parallel-twin 
• Same Engine Performance - 41.4 bhp of peak power & 29.6 Nm of maximum torque
• Gearbox - 6-speed gearbox, with slip & assist clutch
• Suspension - Up-side down forks in the front and a monoshock at the rear
• Brakes - Disc brakes both front & rear with Dual-Channel ABS
• Wheels - 17-inch Alloy wheels

Here are all the features offered by Yamaha on the R3 and MT-03 - 
 

• LED lighting
• LCD instrument cluster
   

The Yamaha R3 is set to compete against the Aprilia RS 457, KTM RC 390 and Kawasaki Ninja 300. The Yamaha MT-03 will compete against the BMW G 310 R & KTM 390 Duke.
 

The launch of both bikes is scheduled to happen on 15th December in the Indian market. Both Yamaha will be offered as completely built units, which may make the price a little higher. We are expecting the Yamaha R3 to be priced at around Rs 4 lakhs, while the MT-03 might be priced at Rs 3.8 lakh.
