Yamaha Motors Finally Launches its R3 & MT-03 in India | Here’s What They Have to Offer

Yamaha Motor India has officially introduced the Yamaha R3 and MT-03 in the Indian market. The R3, previously available in India, is priced at Rs 4.64 lakh (ex-showroom), while the MT-03, making its debut in India, is priced at Rs 4.59 lakh (ex-showroom). Both bikes are imported to India through the Completely Built Unit (CBU) route.
 

In terms of appearance, the R3 closely resembles the R15. It features full fairing with dual LED headlamps at the front and a centre intake. Weighing 169kg, the bike has a low seat height of 780mm. The front has an upside-down fork, and the rear employs a monoshock setup. Braking is handled by disc brakes on both ends, which are equipped with dual-channel ABS.
 

The R3 is equipped with a 321cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine, generating 41.4 BHP of power and 29.6 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. While the R3 includes an LCD instrument cluster, it lacks Bluetooth connectivity.
 

The MT-03 shares a similar appearance with the MT-15, featuring a naked design. It sports an LED headlamp, an aggressively styled fuel tank, and extensions on both ends. The MT-03 also incorporates an upside-down fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear, mirroring the R3. Both bikes share the same chassis and engine. The MT-03 is powered by the same 321cc parallel-twin motor, producing 42hp and 29.5 Nm of torque, coupled with a 6-speed gearbox.
