Yamaha has officially launched the Aerox-E electric scooter in India at an introductory price of Rs 2.82 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new scooter brings the sporty design of the Aerox 155 into the electric segment. In addition, it comes with removable batteries, premium features, and modern technology for everyday riding.

The Aerox-E targets buyers who want a stylish electric scooter with strong performance and advanced features. However, it also enters the market at a premium price point.

The Yamaha Aerox-E is available in a single Glossy White colour with black accents and light blue graphics. The design looks modern while keeping the sporty character of the Aerox family.

Power comes from two removable 1.5kWh lithium-ion battery packs, offering a combined capacity of 3.0kWh. Yamaha claims an IDC-certified range of 117km on a full charge. Each battery takes around 3 hours and 10 minutes to charge fully, while charging both batteries together takes about 6 hours and 20 minutes.

The Aerox-E uses a 9.4kW electric motor that produces 48Nm of peak torque. Yamaha claims a top speed of 95.5kmph in Power + Boost Mode under ideal conditions.

Furthermore, riders can choose between Economy, Standard, and Power riding modes. These modes help balance performance and battery range depending on road conditions and riding style.

Premium Features and Safety Equipment

Yamaha has equipped the Aerox-E with several premium features. It gets a full-colour TFT instrument display, turn-by-turn navigation, call and SMS alerts, and Y-Connect smartphone connectivity with ride statistics.

In addition, the scooter offers all-LED lighting, keyless ignition, reverse mode, traction control, and single-channel ABS. These features improve both convenience and rider confidence during daily commutes.

Hardware and Overall Package

The Aerox-E rides on 14-inch alloy wheels with 110/80 front and 140/70 rear tyres. Disc brakes at both ends handle braking duties, while the scooter weighs 139kg, providing good stability on city roads.
