Vida Crosses 3 Lakh Electric Scooter Sales Milestone in India

Hero MotoCorp's electric mobility brand Vida has achieved a major milestone by crossing 3 lakh retail sales in India. According to the latest Vahan data, Vida has sold 3,00,458 electric scooters from November 2022 to 1 August 2026. In addition, the brand has shown impressive growth, with each new sales milestone arriving much faster than the previous one.

Vida Sales Growth Picks Up Rapidly

Vida sold its first 1 lakh units in about 33 months. However, the next 1 lakh units took just over seven months, while the jump from 2 lakh to 3 lakh units happened in only five months. Moreover, July 2026 became Vida's best sales month with 22,883 units, beating the previous record of 21,893 units set in June.

This strong performance has helped Vida become the fourth largest electric two wheeler brand in India. It now ranks behind TVS, Bajaj, and Ather, while staying ahead of Ola Electric and Greaves Electric Mobility.

BaaS and Network Expansion Support Growth

One of the biggest reasons behind this growth is Vida's Battery as a Service (BaaS) model. It lowers the initial purchase cost, making electric scooters more affordable for many buyers. In addition, Vida now has more than 900 touchpoints across 415 cities and works with 700 plus dealerships. Riders can also access charging at over 5,900 locations across the country.

Perhaps the growing demand for electric mobility and the upcoming festive season will further boost Vida Electric Scooters in the coming months. Hero MotoCorp also plans to increase production capacity at its Chittoor plant from 25,000 units to 50,000 units per month to meet rising demand.

With this strong momentum, Vida is expected to sell more than 2 lakh Electric Scooters during 2026 alone. Therefore, the brand appears well positioned to strengthen its presence in India's fast growing electric two wheeler market.
