Upcoming Jawa 42 Launch: What’s Coming?

Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles is gearing up to launch the new version of the 42 Roadster in India. The company has started its pre-launch marketing and shared teasers showcasing various details of the design. Here’s a closer look at what to expect from 2024’s Jawa 42.

What to Expect from the Upcoming Launch

The new Jawa 42 Roadster boasts sporty styling with a unique design, including teardrop fuel injection and swept air intake. Expected features include full LED headlights, a 334cc engine, and upgraded hardware. It is scheduled to be launched on September 3, 2024, and priced at Rs 2.10 lakh and Rs 2.20 lakh, respectively. 
 

Design

The bike features a sporty design with rotating front ergonomics. It sports a teargas fuel tank with a distinctive ‘Jawa’ sticker. Although the side panels and fenders are similar to the Jawa standard. The bike features an upswept dual exhaust, redesigned seats and specially machined multi-spoke alloy wheels.   
 

Features

While it is too soon to confirm all the features, the new 42 Roadster is expected to include full LED lighting, semi-digital instruments and dual-mode ABS. Moreover, it is likely to have an assistant and a paddle clutch which will make it more efficient.   
 

Engine Specifications

Like the recent Jawa and Yezdi models, the new 42 is expected to feature a 334cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled unit. However, it remains to be seen whether the company will use the engine tuning from the Jawa 350 or the Yezdi Adventure for the 2024 Jawa 42. 
 

Hardware

As mentioned earlier, the new Jawa 42 will get hybrid wheels with wide tyres. It will use traditional right-wing top brass for suspension at the front and twin springs at the rear. In both cases, disc brakes will handle braking.   
 

Expected Price and Launch Date

The new Jawa 42 is scheduled to be launched in India on September 3, 2024, with an expected price range of Rs 2.10 lakh to Rs 2.20 lakh (ex-showroom).
